Nice video... mam can I use sand or salt instead of sawdust.... and also I have pottery clay can this same method be used for pottery clay?
@classyramya3315
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks dear. Saw dust will start burning slowly when fired but while using sand or salt its a different method like placing on gas stove etc. which I haven't tried and hence not sure about it. You can search for such related videos of other KZitemrs. If the pottery clay is very fine and filtered without any dust or stones you can try using it.

Mam i want to know whether we can use without burning..only 3- 4 days in sunlight
@classyramya3315
3 жыл бұрын
No, just keeping in sunlight is not enough. Because how much ever you dry the clay in sunlight, it will still start to crumble if it comes in contact with water. Baking or firing makes it durable and strong. Hence Baking is important.

@@Ishu__2329 Don't worry, keep practising and it will be perfect one day since it happens for all of us. Just try to figure out what could have gone wrong during the entire process. Firstly make sure you are using a good quality clay which is free from impurities and dust particles. Clay should be knead well before you start and no air must be trapped inside when you make the jewel pieces. Use a roller if required, also check there are no minor cracks on the base and sides of the pieces, if there are any use water to smoothen the surface. Once done the jewel pieces needs to be dried well(if size is big /thick)atleast for a week and then proceed with baking as shown in the video. Wish you all success.

@classyramya3315

Just coconut husk will not be enough ma since it will burn quickly and turn into ashes...The heat needs to be retained for few hours to bake...that's the reason we use saw dust.
