I bought the M2s for my gopro after watching your video. I followed your video to help me balance my gopro 12 on the gimbal. Many thanks. Can you or do you have a video on which mode to use on the gimbal for which situation?

Hi - apologies, I missed your comment somehow. That's great to hear, I definitely think the M2S is the best gimbal with the GoPro (compared to the others). I don't yet have a video about what mode to use for each situation, but that's a great suggestion!. I generally do things like b-roll round cities, towns, buildings etc so that's a video I could do for sure. What do you plan to film with the GoPro / M2S - more people shots or non-people shots? Now the weather has turned cold and wet here, there is less opportunities to get outside to do some demos. But I could do some videos analysis which gimbal mode was used etc in the mean time? would that be useful?

Hi Ash, thanks for stopping by. Sure the M2S will balance with the Hero 5. It won't control it though with bluetooth so you'll need to use a different method to start/stop the GoPro. Look out for a video soon which I will show some different ways of triggering the GoPro - but for now, voice control, remote control, volta are ways that it can be triggered. Thanks Tim

Hello sir. Thanks for yhe useful video. One problem i am facing with m2s with gopro 12 on it is the vibration.even after alliened 3 axis perfectly the gimbal is vibrating.. Please give a sulution forr this. Thank you

Hello! If you get a vibration with M2S and GoPro 12 then please check the Motor Strength/Torque is set appropriately. I suggest Low or Med (not High) or try a calibration to set the strength. The vibration is one of the motors working too hard compared to the others. I get this sometimes, but usually resolved setting a lower motor strength

This gimbal is a mess. Will not balance and there is about 8 degrees tilt downwards to the right. Thanks for the candid comment at the end that heavier cameras are easier to balance with this than action cameras. Software will not fix the tilt. The roll axis motor will not balance to an equilibrium due to design flaws on an action camera. Thanks for your video. I love your channel and just subscribed.

Hi @PowerFisherman - thanks for your thoughts and comments. I find it quite tricky to balance due to the GoPro being so light. It shouldn't tilt though, is this after you have balanced and reset the gimbal does it still tilt? Does it still do the tilt after doing a calibration. In the M3 it's possible to adjust the tilt parameter to compensate in the advanced settings of the gimbal, but the M2S doesn't have this parameter. Thanks for the sub! I need all the support for being such a tiny channel!

I'm thinking of getting the gimbal. 2:52 would it be better to have the gopro flush to the gimbal instead of keeping it in the middle?
@4T-Tech
Жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, thanks for watching and your comment. That's a good question, I left a bit of space if wanting to plug in a power bank. When I'm out, I usually run out of juice, so often plug the power bank in to charge in moments of downtime. Therefore I did it out of habit, and thought being in the middle might balance easier. However, looking at that moment at 2:52 it actually looks like it would be better to be positioned over the actual motor. I'll try that out later and see if it balances easier. I find a heavier camera like a compact Sony ZV1 much easier/quicker to balance than an action camera as they are so light in comparison. The gimbal does have a minimum weight payload which the GoPro are on the boundary of. It's a great gimbal, I've had no issues with it other than being a bit fiddly to balance so I do it at the beginning of a session and try to leave it balanced for the whole time.

Hi Chris - I think it depends on how you intend using it while hiking. If hiking while holding the gimbal out in front, it might be a bit cumbersome. If stopping to record a nice view, and pull it out of the backpack, then it'll be fine. Weight wise it's about 500-600g so not heavy, but not superlight either. If every gramme matters, then the gimbal weight might be an issue. I wouldn't balance it at home first as it'll need to be folded up to put in the backpack so would need re-balancing etc. It has a little tripod stand so as long as the ground is reasonably flat even a foot square or car bonnet, lay backpack flat on the ground etc :-) then it can be balanced ok. You could put the gopro onto the release bracket first and keep it on there, and quick release it on/off when you need to . Two of the axis can be pre-balanced and left in the position, but the third one would need to be locked while hiking and then unlocked and adjusted on the go. Not sure if that makes sense?? I could do a video explaining this if that helps? Alternatively the Inkee Falcon Plus gimbal is smaller and lighter and faster to balance I find. It does have a couple of issues though, so not perfect compared to the M2S which is more pro, heavier, but without issues. Hope that helps, Tim

Здравствуйте, при подключении Gopro-7 с помощью кабеля на экране камеры возникает надпись "установлено соединение USB". Как управлять камерой Gopro, если я хочу зарядить батарею от стабилизатора? Sorry for my English, I use an automatic translator. Hello, when connecting the Gopro-7 with a cable, the inscription "USB connection is established" appears on the camera screen. How do I control the Gopro camera if I want to charge the battery from the stabilizer?

I understand your question all okay. I think you could try a USB-C Splitter cable, like this: www.amazon.co.uk/GELRHONR-Charging-Type-C-Compatible-Black-1m-2/dp/B0BCJVJ78D/ Or instead a GoPro remote to control camera: www.amazon.co.uk/Suptig-Waterproof-Wireless-Control-5session-black/dp/B07KS561ZP I hope that helps

I can't use the remote control or smartphone because when I connect the Gopro camera, the camera control is blocked. I want to use the stabilizer as a powerbank, but I can't do it. Hello - i've done some research and the Crane M2S does not support controlling a GoPro camera. The Crane M2 did support GoPro but not the Crane M2S. It's not on the support list from the manufacturer. The only gimbal I am aware of where it supports controlling the GoPro and as a power bank is the Inkee Falcon Plus or Hohem iSteady Pro 4. I'm quite sure that your only option for controlling the GoPro 7 is voice control, or remote control (one that supports GoPro 7).

Gopro. Thanks for the detailed answer. I have found a solution to my problem. I attached a small powerbank next to the Gopro. I can use my smartphone and the Quik program to launch the camera. I will be waiting for the M2S update, I hope that Zhiyun will support Gopro.

Hello - that's a great solution to use a separate power bank for the GoPro and use the smartphone to launch the camera. I'm not sure Zhiyun would support the GoPro on the M2S as it's quite an old gimbal now. Perhaps they might on the M3S.
