i dont use the 'fiber-g', i just use the polo wraps on the horses legs. but its pretty much the same thing, i mean they're wrapped the same around the horses legs, but the polo wraps arent a very stretchy material, but they're still supportive if you know how to do them right

They've done studies and it really doesn't matter which direction you wrap, assuming you can make the tension even. However, for beginner wrappers, I would do the classical way of always starting on the inside of the leg, then passing over the cannon bone first (not the tendons). So clockwise on R legs, counterclockwise on left. The idea is you pull more as the bandage is going towards you, so you'd be putting the majority of that pressure on the cannon bone and not the sensitive tendons.

No i think that doesnt apply to when you have a pad under it because the pad reflects the amount of pull you put on the leg , the wrap is just to keep the pad on. for just using polos then counter clockwise counts.

it dosent matter what way just the other leg has to be oppisate like if the left leg was clock wise the right leg would be counter clock wise i mean for polos

@mehavebesthorse it's very true! they can, and if you do it wrong, it can cause really serious tears in the tendons bandaging is useful when done properly. She has started from the tendons on this occasion - wrong. you should really start from the cannon bone, the front of the leg or else the pressure is all on the tendons causing them to bow. Your horses leg should also be straight, like when he's standing properly. learn how to do it properly (not by this video) and you'll be fine :)

Yes you can either wrap it , or use splint boots same thing

Wrapping the leg from back to front can/will pinch the tendons. Same with the white pad, everything has to go from front to back!

For what its worth, I always wrap counterclockwise on left legs, clockwise on right, just because it doesn't take any more time to do and it can't hurt (and may possibly help). That being said, seeing someone like this in the video who obviously wraps many times a day, I would not be too concerned of the "wrapping the wrong direction" since she can obviously keep tension very consistent.

@larnaxoxo no not always, you've just got to make sure you don't make them to tight or to loose in one area on their legs :) if you don't know how to wrap them right, use boots ;)

@dawson2116 Well starting from the top or the middle is more of a preference thing as long as there's an even amount of wrap around each part of the leg, but I agree with everything else :) Wrapping this way can cause a bandage bow cause it puts pressure on the tendons unnecessarily, and it's not natural at all!

Are you serious? You're wrapping the wrong way. Not to mention you start in the middle and wrap to the bottom.. Then go back up again. Not from the top. Why hasn't this video been deleted yet..?
