Not really what I was expecting concerning sound engineering for the music studio environment, but I see that it still can pertain to music in some ways. Plus, you never know if you'll land a side job at a tv station. I like this, thanks!

I wonder why some people use their analog mixers connecting to computer monitors? Is it just for recording (or) displaying what they do on the mixers on the monitors? I can't think about it. Thanks.

What kind of wire you used to your mic cables? It seems like thinner than the normal Mic and Speaker Cables?

Can anyone answer my confusion? I am going to record a blues song where there will be one guitar, bass ,organ, drums ans vocals. Here i am not using two guitars, only when i am doing solo parts. Here, the recordist said to record the same guitar track again and pan left and right but i really wanted to do is same like Alex hutchings trio, where there is one guitar, keyboard, bass and drums. So, is it really needed that we should record two guitars same and pan left and right or can we just copy and paste the same file and pan l/R? But, i really want to do is use only one guitar, so is it possible?

Recording 2 tracks and hard panning will give you a really nice, HUGE chorused guitar sound. Using the same file and cutting and pasting will do nothing since it's the same original recording. That's the same as keeping the pan pot in the middle and using only one track. If you want a huge sound record twice. Try it and see if you like it.
