So so helpful. I was doing 2:05’s before watching this guide. Now I’m consistent bottom 2:03’s and my delta was reading 2:02’s last night before battling someone to lose that lap. But what a breathtaking track and thanks for the tips!

Great explanation ! I am in my 50ish Lap on MP trying desperately to gain my final Track Medal in ACC . I mastered all tracks in ACC (56 Medals ) but this one. I got my first two medals on Bathurst with ease. Made a day brake and now I got stuck on trying getting the 3rd. Medal ( 4 Laps ) Today I was in 3 consistent laps already and in the last corner I lost all of them due to whatever might have happend. I noticed nothing particular. My laptimes are around 2:20ish as Hotlapping is not the goal, but still I experience situations when the green progress bar just disappears with no further hint on what has happend. Indicators for pace and car control are both green...I tried different cars as well and it happens as well. I agree, the NSX Evo is for me also the most enjoyable to drive at Bathurst. Usually, I drive mainly McL's in GT3 and GT4 classes and occassionally a Merc and a Nismo GTR. Any advise from your end ? I need this final medal to unlock the safety ratings, whin in turn will be necessary to get access to many ACC servers...Btw: I also use Raceroom extensively and drive mainly the C7 and the Merc GT3, aside from Openwheelers. I don't have any problems to ride Bathurst reasonably quick and consistent with either of them. Nowhere near the alien-pas, but for my level ( I am 62 ) I feel OK. Someone has to fill the ranks in field of cars and drivers, no ? Best regards, Stefan

In your HUD under Rating Practice info use Car Control option. Keep it light blue to green. Once I did that instead of watching the laps, 99 TR came rather quickly. I was able to conquer a new track in under 20 laps. I found that I was really tensioning up during the 4th lap and would always screw something up. Using Car Control I would get into a rhythm. I'm 65, nowhere close to good lap times, but having fun.

@@randyjohnson5055 Hi Randy. I am 63 ( years young ).Thanks for the reply. My post is 8 months old, so in the meantime I got all my medals and Bathurst is still one of my favourite tracks. Tbh, I drive more AMS2, rFactor2 and Raceroom these days. The latter has still the best AI ( fully trained, of course ) and they all offer also other racing then GT3/4 which became a bit boring over time. I am rather into Formula / Renault 3.5 and F1 from the 90ties through 2010. Aside from that I am racing LeMans ( GTE Aston Martin, Prototypes ) and Nordschleife ( Cup Porsches, BMW M2 and M4s ). And then I really really love the GT1s in AMS2. Power, Sound, FFB..Tracks like Spa or the old Nürburgring S.....just amazing

What speed is carried into Skyline? I feel like I could be braking too much on entry. The rest of the mountain top is my favourite section and was what lead me to favour the NSX. With a solid exit I hit 287kmph atcthe 150m board, which not even the Lexus can overtake (I get Lexus to 290). My race pace is 2:04. Hopefully this excellent guide will get me the last couple of seconds missing for Pro pace. Cheers

I'm struggling to break into the 2:01's. Best is a 2:02.180. What makes the difference at these times? I figure its mainly getting on the throttle a fraction sooner on corner exit but could be a few corners I'm not consistent enough lap to lap to put it all together. I've got about 7 hours on Bathurst atm.

okay I didn't hear any over steering during your gameplay. Next question, are you using the default preset of car (safe or aggressive) or you did some adjustment? Whenever I used GT-R in this track there's a lot of oversteering using the default preset (aggressive).

I'm wondering if there a difference between the AI on console vs PC. I'm currently running in the 2:05's and while running on every possible combination of AI skill and aggressiveness, I can't get through a single lap without an AI car running over me and crashing me out of the race. Bathurst is literally un race able for me. Extremely frustrating.

Tell us about your sim rig set up. What gear are you using ect ? Very impressive times. Yes Bathurst is a track with consequences. Best track on the planet but I may be a little bias. I have never seen someone using so much steering input (steering lock) going into the cutting. Sulman Park is before Reid park. Modulate your braking going through the Esses & if you go too fare to the left before you turn in you can get a little airborne as you go over the crest so be careful of that. My Achilles heel is Forrest Elbow. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍🙃🙃

Thanks! I am just using a G29 clamped to a desk at the moment for these videos. It’s such a magical track, you are right. One of my favourites too! I don’t think any two people do exactly the same lines for every corner which is one of the things I love about it. For me it’s also Forrest Elbow that is often the lap destroyer…😅

Quick question... how competitive is a 2:05:2 - 2:05:8 racing pace? Could probably get to 2:04:5 -2:04:7 with a quali setup (meaning very low fuel... I did the 2:05:2 with 45-50lt of fuel)... I believe it would be quite decent for an online race... can't imagine being below mid of the pack with this unless it's some above average LFM session... or am I wrong? Btw, the Lexus with a good setup is NUTS on Bathurst... straight line speed is ridiculous and gains you soooo much time on the straights... 278kph on the long Bathurst straight with almost full rear wing downforce... holy fucking shit!!! And also Lexus has BY FAR the best sounding engine in the game.... other cars sound cool... Lexus is a pure bliss eargasm!!!

In most of the track guides I notice the pros maxing out 6th gear at over 288+kph at before the crest at the back straigh which is giving them a tremendous advantage to my 2:04 time, and I'm driving the track to the tee with the guide, just not getting their speed nor acceleration

Depends, what's your pace? Cause that alien 1:59 is not pace but hotlap... a pace around 2:02:0 is good enough to win you races online and a pace around 2:04 is still competitive in lower level competition... not gonna win anything with it but you certainly won't be bottom half... bottom half is at 2:08 or 2:07 most of the times...

The right turn in before the dipper if you trail brake and down shift into second coming off the left going into the right there’s just enough traction loss to help the back end rotate around that right, it sets you up nearly perfect for the dipper, as I tun in for the dipper I’m already on the grass before the left tires come back down to earth. That whole section from the braking section before the banner, brake/trail brake down to 4th for the first right, trail brake down into third for the left, really trail brake for the right and then back on the gas for the dipper. I’m losing time on hell corner but I makeup it going over the top and down the backside. Running high 2:06 low 2:07s but getting them consultant and slowly chipping away at different sections. “You don’t have small accidents” couldn’t be more of a way to describe a track, because it rewards patience and it’s fast but technical is why it’s hands down my favorite track.
