@@ayalavoice_ Look, I work a lot with people converting to Judaism. As you can imagine that can be a lot stickier than a Baal Teshuva who's family is Jewish. For positive relationships, whether it be with immediate family or even your spouse and children, for them to blossom takes a lot of wisdom and foresight. People go to school for family therapy for years to have the understanding of how to navigate difficult family situations. I have given a lot of advice to students, but I have to say, I learned a lot from this video. And yes I will pass it on to my students.

This is a really important topic for Baalei/Baalat Teshuva. I also use KZitem as a means of putting my ideas out there for people who will resonate with the information. Friends and family aren't always able to resonate and that's ok! It's also ok to find others who do resonate and care. Hatzlacha Rabba!

@@ayalavoice_ Great that you feel that way. My wife’s family are Orthodox Jews and does not have a relationship with a lot them because her beliefs of Jesus as her Jewish Messiah. Unfortunate that families could be separated because religious beliefs.

I love how handle these subjects. There was a quote I read in my Exploring Judaism course, I can't fully remember it now but it was about prayer and it was something like "The silence of prayer is the truest form of emotion." I felt that, I also agree. G-d hears us in our heart of hearts I don't need to shout at the corner of the street and such.

All that you said is so true Ayala, I especially relate to the importance of boundaries and living by example instead of trying to influence others with words. On the subject of words, I have noticed how uncomfortable I feel trying to explain why I do what I do, particularly regarding wearing tzitzit and head covering. I have learned that I do not owe anybody an explanation. I don’t need to defend or justify myself. When people comment or stare in amusement, my best course of action is practicing non-reactivity.

Actions speak louder than words -- a warm hearted smile says it all. Proverbs 15:1A gentle reply turns away wrath, but a distressing word stirs up anger.

Better to fear the LORD than man (mankind). If it offends someone, that is their issue with GOD. Not yours or mine. But of course, there's no reason to be rude to anyone but if GOD offends them, then leave them where they stand. They do not like the Light.

@@ayalavoice_ Friendly reply. Just remember that the LORD destroyed other nations because they followed false gods. GOD is a jealous GOD. Even the Jews suffered when they didn't believe in GOD during the 40 years in the wilderness. Don't be a "stiff neck" and remember all what GOD has done for you.

@@ayalavoice_ Sorry to hear that. I'm not unfriendly to anyone but a lesson learned from the WORD is one that everyone should keep in the heart. GOD doesn't want us swaying to please others if it offends Him. The ONE true GOD. I can talk with many, no matter their belief but if my belief offends them, then they are not a true friend nor a friend of GOD. You can not serve two masters and not expect the ONE to not get angry that you have turned from Him.
