I lost my baby dog 3 days ago. I couldn't breathe in the moment. Felt like my heart would shatter to pieces. Truly. But your videos have helped me breathe minus the feeling that I will go insane if I live another moment with out him. Thank you.

That's so true. It's for us to carry these moments because they are never going to come back again. They are beautiful, they are special and they deserve to be lived.

In essence, what Jeff is alluding to is this: the Mind must vanish! Avatar Meher said it best when he dictated: “Mind wants to know that which is beyond mind. To know that which is beyond mind, mind must go-vanish, leaving no vestige of itself behind. The humour of it is, the mind, which is finite, wants to retain itself and yet know Truth, which is infinite. This is the position of those who seek Truth through intellect. Few grasp this fact, and so most grope and grapple in vain“ -Meher Baba

You bear it because you have no choice. The difference between ’extremely painful’ and ’unbearable’ is pretty much semantic. Maybe the body turns off when it’s too much, I don’t know the biology of it.

The point is to uncatastrophize your perception even in the midst of very real difficulty. "I am bearing this." changes your whole physiology; so does "I can't bear this." What's happening is never uninfluenced by our perception of what is happening. We don't always have a choice as to what is happening to us, but we always do have a choice in regards to how we relate to what is happening to us. Jeff gives us a new way to relate to it. It's only semantic if you're only dealing with it semantically. Try it when you are in the midst of intense emotional or physical pain and see if it doesn't help, for real.

Yes, but don't people go unconscious when they cannot bear the trauma they have within ? Not physically unconscious, but certainly emotionally and psychologically unconscious when they are in a reactive state to whatever is happening? Being emotionally unconscious is as serious as not being alive because we can inflict great pain on whomever we are taking out our unbearable pain on. when we aren't present to our children's emotions and are reacting from our pain rather than being totally present to them or our own emotional needs, that is unconscious and it has truly devastating consequences for generations to come. Maybe I"m not understanding.
