Hi Adaeze, thanks for your question. Materials plenty ooooo!!! You just have to be strategic about which one to use based on people's experience and how you study. Some common ones are Pharmachieve, Pharmaepass, pharmagate and honestly so much more. You can search them out online and see if what they have to offer works for you. EE and MCQ can be written in Lagos, Nigeria. The only one that can't is OSCE because it is a practical exam.

Hi Temi! First of all thank you very much for this amazing video, it's really helpful and you explain everything amazingly well. I have two concerns, one is Do you know if the practices are paid? And the second thing is, how was the process of transferring your license to AB? I am currently working as a Pharmacy Assistant in Alberta (I am a Pharmacist in Spain) but here it takes around 26 months to get licensed, would you recommend (of course every situation is different) to get licensed, for example in Manitoba, and then do the transfer to AB? Thanks again for this video!!!

@healthcarewithtemi

Thanks for watching, I appreciate it. You can start working as soon as you want to. You just have to be strategic about the kind of jobs you take; you want to make sure that you are not working a physically demanding job, to allow you time to study. As regards, payment for the cost of transition, there are lots of loan services that can help you with that: amazing interest rates and you don't even start paying back until you are done with your exams. As a pharmacy intern, getting paid depends on your employer: some pay interns and some don't.

Tope I must sincerely commend your doggedness and perseverance in all these processes. Can you throw light on remote proctoring for international exams? For Nigeria,is it only done in Lagos or at one's convenient abode?
@healthcarewithtemi
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question sir. In Nigeria, yes it is only done Lagos; that is the only approved center. It can be done from home or in the center but advisably to do it in the centers to avoid any stories that touch. However, once the exam has been booked, i believe that the availability of the center would depend on the number of applicants. Whichever is the case, PEBC will let you know what your options are when you register

Hi, From what you explained I understood that it took a period of like two years to be licensed. Within this period of two years can you get a masters degree and is it advisable to get a masters degree in Canada before starting the process( something health related like health informatics) for someone looking to branch into into pharmacy informatics. And also does having a B. Pharm or Pharm D degree affect the process or your practice. Thank you.
@healthcarewithtemi
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question and i apologize for the late response. My advice would be to choose one to execute at a time: either you do the masters degree or your pursue the pharmacy transition. My reason is that schooling in Canada is intense and it may not be effective to do both at the same time. Both goals can still be achieved but do 1 first before the other. If you want to branch into health informatics, just go for that directly and then later on, you can choose to do the exams if you still want to. At least at this point, you are doing it at a more relaxed pace. The minimum to have is a B.pharm to start the process.

Thanks for your question. So, this is a summary for my journey. Because i passed both qualifying exams in one sitting (to the glory of God), i was able to bypass the bridging program criteria and do the PACE assessment in Ontario. Good evening, please i sent my application and other certified documents to PEBC as requested after payment of documents evaluation fee. I was also told by my University that my transcript had been emailed to PEBC. All these happened 5weeks ago, but to my surprise, my PEBC portal still remains unchanged, no sign of receiving any document. I wrote to them but they said that PEBC doesn't acknowledge receipt of any document, it takes them minimum of 6weeks to look at documents submitted, after which it will be posted on my wallet if what i sent are enough or i still need to send more. Please, i want to know if you experience the same thing during your documents evaluation period. I also want to submit my express entry application, which province is in need of Pharmacists or i should come in as a Pharmacy assistant. I am a graduate of University of Ibadan. 1. As regards to PEBC: Please call them, this is still the easiest way to hear from them directly. It is possible that yours was received during exam season and that is their busiest time. 2. I won't say there is a specific province that needs pharmacists. You don't have to worry yourself about that, enter the pool first. Also, if you are below 30, you stand a very good chance. You ca. also explore PNP but you have to do the research on which province needs pharmacist.

Hello ma, thanks for watching. Does your daughter want to switch to a career as a pharmacist? I don't know too much about the pathways for pharmacologists in Canada

Good morning sister Temi. Please I submitted my express entry profile yesterday, but to my surprise ,I got a message through my application status that I am not eligible for any program under express entry and my CRS point was even zero. Please, how can CRS score of a 25years old graduate of Pharmacy with almost three years experience be zero. My general IELTS score are : R-9.0, L-9.0, W-7.0 and S-7.0. Is it because I applied by myself? Can I apply through a representative? Please advice

Thanks so much for this info, can one be a masters student while pursuing this certification… writing the pebc exams and being in postgraduate school?
@healthcarewithtemi
Жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely. However, i must point out that it will require a lot of hard work because the student will be basically studying to achieve two different goals. An easier alternative may be to: 1. Start the PEBC exams from your home country (would advice to do your EE and MCQ there). 2. Come to Canada, pursue your masters and also prepare for your OSCE which is a bit easier to prepare for while pursuing your masters. I hope this helps

Well explained ❤ Is it possible to get an admission into a masters pharmacy degree when you have an international pharmd degree ?? I don't mean practicing as a pharmacist but just getting a pharmacy masters in order to do research in pharmaceutical sciences.

Thanks for your question. Yes, there are definitely masters programs in the pharmacy field. You just have to check for universities that have school of pharmacies and then search from there.

Can one practice in a different Province from the one where they received qualification?
@healthcarewithtemi
Жыл бұрын
Hello. Thanks for your question. Yes, you can. All you have to do is the Jurisprudence exam in new province you want to practice. For example, to bypass the bridging program in Alberta, I got my license in Ontario and then just did jurisprudence exam in Alberta which is where i reside. I hope this was helpful

Hi Temi, to bypass the bridging exams you meant in this reply. Does it mean the bridging exams you did your bridging exams in Alberta, and then you wrote your jurisprudence exams in Ontario to get your license in Ontario? Please how can you help us with links or groups to join in for past questions and others in preparation for the exams. Thank you for your video it was helpful.

@@_pharm.p Past questions for PEBC exams are illegal and usually inaccurate. As part of the exams, you have to sign an NDA to never discuss anything peculiar to the exam day or questions with anyone including your fellow exam takers. People have been barred from ever writing PEBC exams or prosecuted for circulating or even merely possessing what they tagged PEBC PQs. So, there are no official PQs for the PEBC exams. As for bypassing the bridging program, both Alberta and Ontario have bridging programs but Ontario is gracious enough to wave the program for any IPG that passes their QEs in the first attempt. So, Temi took advantage of that and went to Ontario to get licensed. She then returned to Alberta and converted as an already practicing pharmacist in Canada. This is because once you’re licensed in any Canadian province, all you need to do to practice in another province is to apply to the provincial pharmacy body and write their jurisprudence exam and then you get fully licensed. I hope this helps.

Good afternoon madam, since Pharmacist is not among the newly released needed health occupations in Canada ,but Pharmacy assistant is among. Is it possible for me as a Pharmacist in Nigeria to submit my profile in express entry as a Pharmacy Assistant since am not yet licensed in Canada. I am at evaluating examination stage.

So, the most busy times in PEBC are exam season: January, June, July, and November. Evaluation submitted at these times may take the entire 8 weeks to be ready. I recommend to submit right after these months.
