Hi Shubh, that is a very common struggle for beginners! we've all been there. don't let that discourage you, what you need is practice practice practice. you are lacking on algorithm practice specifically, there's not much you could do but continuing on building project, the more you hands on the code, the more you will get better at it.

Thank you so much for this information!! your content is clear, beginner friendly and i love the humor incorporated into your videos. I'm currently in the process of switching over careers. I never thought i would reconsider the tech field. I'm looking into Ux/Ui Design or Front end development. Either way.. i'm going to learn how to code. :)

Brittney! THAT MEANS A WORLD TO ME 😭😭😭😭😭 i put a lot of effort to this hoping that someone will find this really helpful and easy to follow and actually start learning to code!!!!!!!!!! def try out freecodecamp to begin with in your case! oftentimes when you get steps into coding, you don't need to get into frameworks until later down the line! happy learning!

I have been learning so hard for over a year, but after starting to apply, Honestly i feel so imposter and discouraged. I love web development, building things and learning things, but people want to hire only 3-5+ year experienced developers. I feel so lost how to break into this high wall.

i feel your struggles, i've been in your shoes as well, unfortunately it's an numbers game, it takes a lot of time and effort to practice interviews - especially algo and data structures, & applying numerous jobs, and getting rejected, you will eventually break into it.. remember you only need 1 chance.

When i was learning, i watch videos as my primary learning resources and reading as secondary, I also like to get hands on experiences as i learn. I would say that if you know what kinda learner you are, it might be easier to figure out if you learn better with reading or watching tutorials, but at the end of the day, you do need to put it into practice, it's the ONLY way to retain the infomations/knowledge in coding :)

@@VickyMei so everyone does a how to become a web dev in [enter year] or a day in the life... those are sexy sounding for the youtube algorithm and pretty much easy layups for views. Your information is correct but in reality allot of what these videos are missing is the grind and dedication a new dev has to have in order to get in to the industry. When people are first learning they have to have the ability to push themselves get passed all the doubts and the walls they hit. They need to know not to give up. When I was teaching my self how to code I was watching tutorials for 12 hours a day non stop for 9 months. When I got hired I was put up against 3 other junior devs and only one of us still works there.. why? because I taught my self the hard work and grind I would work 9-5 then I would come home and continue to learn till about 1 am just to wake up at 9 to go work again. There also needs to be an emphasis on learning how to read docs... after being hired I was pretty good at VUE then they wanted us to create a feature where ppl could make their own website make it go live using our product. They chose for us to do in in GrapesJS. There are no tutorials, no udemy videos there is nothing no stack over flow we had to hit the docs and figure out how to implement grapesJs it was the wild west.... If I didn't sweat it out teaching my self 12 hours a day I would have failed at learning grapesJs. after that they threw me in to a React project.. I had to teach my self React in a week... Then Ruby and so on ... so yes your video shows how to become a web dev but that may prepare people for a non paid internship at the most.. the true value is building that work ethic building that mentality that you can grind it out till you learn it. Getting over the 'I suck at this' moments that we all hit or even the I want to quit moments. During a product launch you will be working 7 days a week with a PM breathing down your back and senior devs looking at your every line of code in order to make it there people need that work ethic and mental strength thats how you land a 80k job as your first dev job.. Thats what will prepare people to beat the other junior devs and quickly become a full stack dev making over 100k its just not follow these simple rules.. its like you have to be like Kobe (RIP) he would show up early and get those reps in no matter how many championships he won he was still there before anyone else shooting that ball.

@@_slickyricky i love how much you emphasis on hard work and self solving problems, i agreed a lot on this part, i think at the end of the day is you gotta do the dirty work and willing to actually find ways to unstuck yourself and building things that has no clue how to begin! at the end of the day, engineers are the innovators, problem solvers, hard workers and someone who obsessively finding ways to renovate and create things that matters and improve. thank you for your feedback, and I think a lot of times, when we do what we love, we don't mind spending the extra time on coding and working things out.
