PRODUCTS USED Jerome Russell BBlonde Powder Bleach BBlonde Peroxide 40% Thank you so much for watching Anwen INSTAGRAM: anwen_williams EMAIL: anwen.usa@gmail.com
Ok so obviously you're going to have a few comments of hairdresser, and Iam going first : A few points ; first : your mixture is too thick, you should add more oxidant, it will be more easy to apply and quickly to process Second : try 30 volume, 40 is too high for your natural colour, if you had black or dark brown hair so yeah use 40, but it's not your case. Third : put some avocado oil on your length to protect your hair and then apply the product. Fourth : don't be so worry about the time mark (I see you 've understand that at the end), for a bleach we never look at time but mostly at the hair colour process Fifth : when you shampoo your hair ALWAYS use a silver or blue shampoo or conditioner once a week max, it will neutralise the yellow. When you bleach your hair and especially if you want white hair you HAVE TO have a silver or blue shampoo or conditioner. I think that s about it... just some advice, I hope you don't take it the wrong way 😉 Good job, your hair colour is really really nice, you could be proud !! Some of my colleagues don't do as well ! Love your videos 💙💛❤

poupette shuriken hello poupette, I have a question. Even tho anwens hair came out amazeballs... I was so scared it did not work on the lengsts....because i always read that bleach when you mix it you only have 30 or 40min to work with it after that it won't oxidize anymore. Is that True?
@poupetteshuriken8664
6 жыл бұрын
rose's new beginning that s true for hair colour, but peroxide and bleach powder are stronger. It's less efficient past the 40mn but it still works. I would highly recommend you to not let pause for this long, it's much better that you do it twice (or more), I explain : For instance, on Monday you bleach at 30 volume, than you wait at least 4/5 days than you'll do it again at 20 volume, and if you need more you wait a week and mix the bleach powder with water and apply the same way. And apply avocado or argan oil before bleaching and after, but not too much !!! I hope I answer your question.

poupette shuriken thank you for the indept responce. Iwhenm very carefull not to burn of my hair or damidge it to bad... i decided to go platinum and i a doing it over a stretched period of time. 6 weeks ago I did the first bleach session and toner. And it was pretty yellow and orange but I liked it. Last Monday I bleach washed my lengths and did the roots last and focused on the neck where there was still a lot of darker blond( because I fecked up the first time do to haste) A day later I did a toning session and now I have a very light blond hair with still bits of yellow and orange and where the first time looked like fiery a lions mane it now is a very cute natural warm blind colour with white streaks (where my natural highlights area's are ) I will wait till end of summer beginning autumn to bleach my whole head but with proper platinum bleach powder from Kiss(from a salon website ) and their 20 developer and their line of protein treatment products. I wash my hair once a week and co-wash every 3 days and deep condition every Monday.. when I wash it it's with a silver Shampoo and mix silver conditioner in with my hair mask. Also I do a coconut oil treatment every other week and I do not wash my hair for 1.5 weeks before a bleach and use coconut oil the night before I bleach it to make sure it's as protected conditioned and healty as possible. So I jump trough a lot of hoops just to save some money and feck up my hair 😁. If there is anything I can do diff. Please let me know. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks I will be relaxer when I bleaching on a couple of months knowing it's not the end of the world to be a little slower...And will leave the peroxide in a that bit longer

I have to add : not everybody can do it, you can't imagine the number of client who come to my salon because they bleach their hair themselves !!! Your hair can broke, and not just a little ! I had a few young girl with hole on the head, cos it burnt ! Just for viewers who read this, you can try to do it at home, but do it first on a little part of your hair, and check the result by pulling your hair gently, you see if it brokes or if it become elastic (oh Iam sorry this is so difficult to explain when English is not your first language). Anyway, I know salon are SO much expensive, I do understand why people do it by themselves but just be very careful with the bleach this is the most unforgivable product... Ok I stop here... Sorry Anwen 😓😘

I'm a natural redhead but started colouring my hair various shades of red in the 90s (perming out, colour in). I'm 52 now and possibly as grey as a badger under all this colour but I've no intentions of finding out, it's why the little baby jesus invented 2 for £11 in Superdrug

Oh girl...get ready for the negative feedback from colorists/stylists! They will say you are doing it all wrong but hey...if you've found what works for you, go for it! Everyone's hair is different and it's a trial and error thing. Key is just to use the right level of bleach for your hair color and leave it on long enough to get to the lighter shade. I've always wondered how you lightened/bleached your hair so I love this video! I've done mine a LOT through the years, always with great success. Gosh I actually started doing my own 37 or 38 years ago now that I think about it. Shania Twain! I cant believe it now that I actually counted the years. Where does the time go? In fact in my tiny thumbnail pic, I actually lightened my own hair and cut sbout 3" off and added layers. Was given a gift certificate to my stylist (which I'm good friends with). She said I actually did great and told me next time it would be easier to use a certain pair of scissors we use for scrapbooking together. I had been desperate that night and grabbed the first pair I could find at my friends house. I know I needed better scissors but I went for it. I told her exactly what I had done to my hair before she started which I'm always honest with her just in case she wants to adjust her own formula. I actually used 20 volume with my bleach powder to get past the brassy stage. Takes a bit to get my hair blonde so I use a stronger developer. I noticed you used 40vol. Wondered if it is different in the US. Guess I'm opening up myself to criticism from everyone too. Go for it! Have fun. I've saved literally thousands by doing it myself and have never had bad results.

A bleach bath is shampoo not condition...why.. The shampoo is mainly to dilute the mixture. But the reason you use shampoo not conditioner is because shampoo is designed to remove build-up on hair already, so aids with the colour removal (especially if you use a very stripping shampoo like Head & Shoulders, etc). Whereas conditioner is designed to close the hair shaft and coat it to give it “slip” and make it feel and look soft and shiny, so it doesn’t add any benefit and may have a (very slight) detrimental effect.

You did a great job! My one suggestion is that when it's too thick u can add more developer/peroxide to the bleach to make it smoother!!! U can really add it until whatever texture u like 😘🤗

oh god i love you but im a hairdresser and this is giving me a panic attack. that 40 vol must BURN, i would never use anything over 30 vol on skin, and would never use anything higher than 20 at home. better to use a lower developer and leave it on for longer. i cant believe they even sell 40 vol in stores, in my country thats the strongest thats legally allowed in the country and you need a liscense to buy it. ive home bleached before im not saying its always a bad idea but i would always get someone else (aka my mum) to apply it for me so its clean sections and not overlapping and the back is all done properly. i wont knock your result tho, it does look good so i guess its working well for you

Love this video! I'm currently in the process of lightening my hair, have done the first round of bleaching and can't wait for second round to get it as light as yours. I'm very lucky to have a close cousin as a hair dresser however 😉 I think it all comes down to your natural hair colour when it comes to doing it yourself with bleach. And I would always suggest professional advice at least first to ask if the hair dresser thinks bleach will lighten your hair easily or not. Just my 2 cents anyhow oxo

Be my luck my hair would turn orange or green, I never have any Luck when I was younger trying to change the color, back in the 90's L'Oréal came out with a Spray in hair lighter so it would lighten your hair, with a blower dryer or by letting your hair dry by the air, and my hair turned a very pretty blonde, everyone thought it was my natural hair color, but I spotted because my roots stated to feel sticky, and when I cut my hair off short and put a natural dark blonde on my with was my natural, everyone was shocked and kept asking why did I dye my blonde hair

You are so cute!! Gorgeous. Id honestly not use that 40.. You should deffo at least go down to a 30. Hun you could have doubled that mixture and added alot more developer its far far too thick... God thats a thick paste..it should be more runny/smooth. Be careful ya not supposed to let 40 touch the skin x Ladies only use 40 if you need super lift and at your own risk its dogdy on fragile hair .. Especially weaker ends.
