This was actually super helpful to understand mixing acrylic. I've watched other videos on learning to paint in acrylic and they always seem to complicate it.

If i’m being honest, i’ve never really learned acrylic through youtube because most(if not all) long form tutorials suck!! I learned more from just learning from my mistakes than having a youtuber explain to me different types of brushes and paint brands which i’m never gonna use, before actually “teaching” you how to paint trees by just stippling the damn brush. Not enough people teach how to blend acrylic and it shows.

I went to fine art school for 6 years in which we were only allowed to work with acrylic paint. I have seen a lot of acrylic work in my day and you handle the paint better than anyone I have ever seen, including the professors at the universities I went to, no joke!! It's such an inconvenient texture and it dries so quickly to this irretrievable plastic blob, I am astounded and fascinated by your work

If i can give you advice is buy a stay wet pallette, or diy one. Fluid retarders also help making drying slower yet i prefer the stay wet pallete without retarder and sheets can reused add pennies under the sponge to avoid mold. Also get glass jars like makeup and stuff you can make a basic brown mix in small batches and then have the primary colors in the stay wet pallete and white to mix as you need. It is a life changer! Makes you save a lot of time

Fluid what now😨
@lor5850
8 ай бұрын
@@adeenareaz4244 Fluid retarder, winsor and newton and other brands own them. When added to acylics it can make them a bit less pigmented and more fluid and delay the drying of acrylics by a lot so if yoy work with blending or slow its good.

Try acrylic medium too! There's lots of different kinds, but a great one to try would be a slow-drying medium. Mix it in with your paint and it makes it so much more workable :) I use it especially for backgrounds where I'm blending large areas of colour

It definitely could be the camera filming it but you may want to try a warmer yellow or a pinker red to help the skin look a little brighter, your art is absolutely frickin amazing so you probably don’t need this comment at all, but if you are thinking about how to brighten the skin color it may be worth a try. I know that tip helped me improve things from just the standard primary color mixes. Just like you usually can't get both a vibrant orange and a vibrant purple because the primaries in any set tend to choose a cool or warm red playing with the cool and warm yellows and reds makes a big difference to brightening up skin tones from that ever so slightly grayish-ness some primary sets create. all the best!
