If public transportation is not an option, how do you save up money to buy a car? [Assume you have no friends, or a smart phone, to be able to get a ride.]

Cut your expenses until you have enough money to buy a cheap car. Chrisfix has a tourinyoutube video on how to find a very cheap car.

Can you walk to work or ride a bike to the grocery while you save up for a cash car? Any co worker who would come pick you up for gas money and a fee? Scooters or motorcycles are cheaper than cars. Just some ideas.

Start out with a super cheap car. My husband has driven a car he bought under $1000, he actually sold it after a 3 years for $2000. There are some really reliable old cars that you can buy very cheap.

Why do you need a car? If it’s for studying can you go to online classes, if it’s work can you change jobs to online or move closer so you can walk. Food get the heavy stuff delivered say every 6 months and get a granny trolley and walk home the rest

Love this message! My goal is to retire at age 50, I'm a physician but I don't spend like one, though I do focus on experiences such as eating out and traveling and saving and investing the rest. Reading "Die With Zero" by Bill Perkins really changed my perspective on focusing on splitting my life into time buckets and retiring early.
