Even if it's a break cue only a bellend would bend it or touch cloth. FYI: most advertised "break" cues are just standard cues with bigger and harder tips (more power, less control, added deflection), most I have seen aren't even heavy, including this one by ultimate pool, a snooker cue will do same job and you can get up to 21oz (heavier than the 18oz - 19oz these "pool" cues offer, and most snooker players are using hard tips now anyway). What is a break cue anyway? Play breaks same as any other shot, know at least one of the balls you are going to pot, and play the shot. If you want more power, set cue ball back from baulk line a few inches, play with a little, just a little, top spin and follow through clean.

I think my break is unorthodox, but I like to generate momentum from 3 points when I break. 1 - hips - thrusting my torso into the shot. 2 shoulder/arms - obvious 3 wrist - flick the wrist into the shot. Shooting like this isn't extremely hard specially if you are giving it %100, and even if you hit it perfect at full potential the white ball still might leave the table. . . But if you don't foul you will almost sink one or two balls. Best I ever got was six. (English pool)

People can say what they wanna say, at least I’m not on the losers side… it’s like last week, I overheard a professional race car driver ask if he has a lot of friends that like him, he said he doesn’t need people to like him otherwise, it means he’s not winning! @@itz_j012dan5 yeah.... the angle of the cue doesn't change the follow through at all, only the length of your bridge and the cue itself can do that, even how hard you hit doesn't change the follow through thats how we can play stun shots or power shots, screw shots or run throughs... because of how far we follow through This bs does nothing except get people commenting and makes the OP money from people's anger If you think lifting the cue bottom increases follow through I would love to know the physics as to why the massè doesn't follow through like a muther ducker 🤣

What's the reason for the loop bridge as opposed to the standard bridge? It inhibits follow through somehow?
@hamoostaffat
Жыл бұрын
Not on a cushion break, a normal shot it absolutely can stick your cue up, but cushion breaks your kind of holding the cushion instead of the cue, the cue just slides through your fingers, it's only for power not for accuracy and should stop any miscues from happening as its a lot harder to slip off the ball, not impossible but a lot less frequent than an open bridge And you get an extra few inches of space not having to have your hand on the slate between the ball and cusion for that extra lil kick
