Please keep the meershchaum content coming. Learning new stuff with each vid. They really are beautiful and underrated.

nice to see you bring the pipe content back instead of whatever that camping stuff was.

Thank You for the info. I know this video was 8 months ago but I just bought some at the Columbus show from Meershaum Depot. I got the cheaper ones to see if I liked them.-Eddie

What color is the stem on the pipe that kept showing your background? Green I’m guessing?

Do you recommend holding a pre colored meerschaum by the bowl while smoking it and does it continue to color even more? Thanks for this video!

Good information. I’m planning on graduating into pipe smoking. You mentioned a pipe holder with a hole in it to suspend the bowl from touching anything. Can you point me in the right direction as to where I can get that type of holder from?

I have an unsmoked estate meer on the way. Granted its unsmoked so its never been hot, but do you have any recommendations or suggestions for inspecting the wax on one not purchased technically new? And the reverse may make a good standalone video itself, if you buy a smoked estate meer, how would you inspect it and look it over before making sure it was ready to smoke? Thanks for the video, really enjoying these.

Far as the unsmoked meer, if it's real old the wax can break down over the years and might need a wax coat. If the pipe is dry and dull looking it will need a coat. Far as the smoked meer make sure to scrape out all the cake out from inside the bowl. Make it smooth again. Then see how it smokes. Same would apply if the pipe is real old and might need a wax coat.

Thanks for all the info. Very useful. I love meers. Wish they would stay white but ….. I like to smoke a blend in 3 pipes to see if it makes a difference. Cob, meer, briar. So far I don’t notice a big difference. Meers look cooler, specially the carved ones. You’ve got some nice ones. 👍😃☀️🌵

Hey, Uncle Mike, do you try different bowl sizes as well?
@OldUncleMike

@@Richie66026 most of my meers are what I would call small to medium. One big one that I don’t smoke much, I should but I don’t want it to color. Cobs & briars are medium to large.

@@OldUncleMike thanks unc, do you mind me asking your thoughts on large bowls, like 22m and up width, how do you think the my perform abd what type of tobacco shines in them in your opinion?

@@Richie66026 I just like bigger bowls for more tobacco, longer smokes. I’m not too picky of what kind, always trying something different.

@OldUncleMike fair enough. Thank you for getting back to me. I like deep bowls but not the wide shallow ones. I find they mess up the flavours of most blends.
