Hey Y'all, I love all the different chickens and the egg colors. When I first found Adler Farms Chad and his son were hatching eggs and raising chickens and I just loved what they were doing.. They had a small set up. Your set up is very impressive I really liked this video. This is the week of the state fair here in Minnesota and I used to go to the animal buildings and spend about half a day there going through all the animals the various breeds I always spent a lot of time in the chicken barn. Thank you for this video Cya next time

I saw the video yesterday of Chad getting the gift of some Olive Eggs to hatch, he was excited and thankful, we watched him put them in the incubator. Can't wait for the little chicks to hatch. That was very nice of you. This video was very informative on the chickens and how we get the different colors. We get a lot of the darker brown ones here with some lighter greens and lighter browns. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. You and Catherine have a beautiful set up for your chickens. Maybe you can show us where you incubate your eggs and when they hatch. Thanks Again. and God Bless.

The chart is a tad incorrect. when you breed a F1 Olive Egger to Marans the chicks will be BC (back cross), each daughter will have a 50% chance of laying darker green and 50% change of brown. F1 x F1 is F2

Hidey, came over here from Adler farms so glad he had the video he did today. Come spring I will be ordering eggs to send to my grandkids in Arkansas. I want to find them some cool looking chicken and colored eggs like the olive egger. Do you have ducks as well? They have a large pond on their farm I got them a few Harliquinn Welsh ducks this past year but a coyote got brave and came up to the pond so they only have 4 left. I would love to get them some more ducks as well.

Hi you have any f2 olives laying yet?? My f 1s produced some nice eggs. Im just about to hatch some f2s. I started with a Americana hen and Black Copper rooster. Just about every egg she laid was female. I had about 6 hens till the bobcat arrived. So just 2 left and pushing 3 years old and still laying good. The first year they were on fire. Would be be nice to see egg colors on the f2s if available yet. Thanks

I have a friend that has a hen that produces a pink egg with tiny lavendar spots. She sent me a picture…evidently she hasn’t figured out who is the mom. Her mixed breed flock is all in one aviary with two large coops. I asked her if she had a light reddish brown egg layer and a rooster of a blue egg breed. But if you are getting green with brown and blue, then I am out of suggestions for her. Have you any idea what combo might produce pink eggs? Do you plan on breeding any of your F2 olive eggers back to blue eggers? I would try for a teal color. lol
