"Brushing your dogs teeth is an important part of their health. Like us, it's ideal to brush your dogs teeth at least twice a day. For many dogs, once brushing becomes a part of their daily routine they will begin to expect and even enjoy it. Brushing three times a week is the minimum recommendation to help remove plaque and prevent tartar build up.
You will need dog specific toothpaste as human toothpastes have xylitol which is a toxic substance to dogs.
You can buy a specific toothbrush for dogs but a soft bristled baby toothbrush will work just fine.
