Mk4 GTi's are rare around here. Daily driving in winter salt and snow claimed most of them here in Canada. Good to see one in such nice condition. Have your fun with it, and thanks for sharing the process of creating a rollbar/racing seat setup.

I've been noticing this gen. Golf being driven more enthusiastically in my city lately. I guess they're right at the bottom of the depreciation curve by now. Good job prepping one for a track day and interesting video too.

SolidWorks, but you should be able to do the same in Fusion 360 or most 3D CAD programs too

It’s tough welding to the body because of all the seam sealer. Makes it almost impossible to get a good looking weld
