Great content as per mate, useful coming into the lockdown 2.0 😂 Can tell you from a student where all my home gym is at the garage back home, cheaper alternative I’ve used water....got 2 free 25 litre water containers, full it and it’s like 24-26kg, great for kettlebell, squats, shoulder front lifts, less water and you can do anything tbf. Only for the month as gyms are shut 😂

@@DyabeuPL mate, literally all my equipment is in my home gym away from uni. CBA to spend like another few hundred on top of a gym membership down at uni. I use instead (when gyms aren’t open due to current lockdown) big water containers, can do swings, hold and squat and anything you can think of. Strong set of resistance bands when stacked add up to 140kg so can do virtually anything with them. Also a ton of callisthenics - Horizontal pushes (push up variations) - Horizontal pulling (Inverted rows) - Vertical push extension (Pike push variations) - Vertical push flexion (dips) - vertical pulling (pull up and chin ups, can due bc no pull up bar) A mix of all of them with cardio. you’ll end up stacking on a good solid base, lose fat while building muscle. Just don’t ego do anything, if you can’t do a push up with PERFECT FORM, perform incline push ups with perfect form until you develop the strength to do an actual push up. QUALITY over quality any day of the week.

Assembly by myself was not too hard. I took my time and followed the diagrams. I particularly like the pictures and names of the exercises organized by muscle groups on the front of the kzitem.infoUgkxKJHyBZ9I1py9vVi-XLpEBg0y-qmdhn3q . Considering the number of exercises it has a relatively small footprint. I needed a machine that was not too tall because I only have 79" headroom in my cabin and this was just over 78". It is easy to use, seems to be well made, and I am pleased with my purchase. I am doing upper body muscles on Monday and Thursday. Lower body exercises are being done on Tuesday and Friday. Not using it on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. I am a reasonably fit 66 year old man and this is a great workout.

The handle with a carabine is a Genius idea that i never thought of, Massive thanks. For those who have never used Bands before, im now getting gains i never though possible, for example with a shoulder press with a pair of my max bands is equivalent of 158kg at the top of the movement, not enough, uses another pair in conjunction and you wont run out of resistance short of being a strongman type lifter. I've seen other videos mentioning theres not enough resistance, showing the smallest 13mm bands, well obviously those wont be, but with the range now available i wont be rushing back to a gym.

I would just add that for the dumbbells, I'd recommend getting loadable ones. This is exactly because of his point that you want to build on your gym all the time, and you can't ever make a dumbbell weight more or less than it does, so you're always going to have to buy more. However, if you get loadable ones, then you can start at 15kg per hand, and then if you want to go up more, you need to spend less. But it's quite hard to get good prices on those so bear that in mind. Im definitely going to get some handles because I didnt think of that! Great idea and didn't realise they were so cheap.

For weights, if you have a barbell you can make 20kg weight plates out of concrete mix and water. Much cheaper like £5-10 per 20kg plate. They aren't as durable but if you reinforce them with rebar and use mats they will do just fine.

Great vid. I've been waiting 4 months for my atx stuff, its here in a few weeks. I've gone for their 750 cage with lat pull 125kg. I wanted just one heavy stack, I only ever use a duel stack for cable flys. So all back exercises are covered, side laterals, front laterals, even biceps. I've got a 140kg barbell package from atx and an adjustable bench. I'm thinking I should have maybe got the bench with leg attachments but I'm going to focus more on squats. I bought some Olympic barbells so I can utilise my plates. Hopefully going to get a few lighter hex dumbells though. Got an ez bar to, great bit of kit and not to expensive. A tricep rope, few, d hooks, v bar etc. Good to go and can not wait. All in think I've spent about £2500. Just need some flooring then I'll add to it as I go. Great video and help for people Joey D.

Im currently planning my homegym, I'm kinda restricted due to living in Norway, we have to pay 25% in tax from buying abroad, so that is not a valid option. I am currently renovating a room downstairs, so im not sure about the roof height yet, that will determine if i go for a power rack or a squat rack with catchers. Since my girlfriend is joining my venture my priority list goes like this: 1. Threadmill 2. Mirrors and flooring (buying from IKEA and used gym mats or in bulk) Wanna cover a decent arena around "working stations". 3. Dumbbells set and rack up to 30 kgs i figure i could do a lot with this, buying hex dumbbells. 4. Adjustable bench. 5. Chin up / pull up bar or power tower, depending on price and market. 6. Equipment to do dips on, this kinda depends which kinda rack i go with, i might just go for the equalizer bars. - For the next purchase i definitively wanna get myself some equipment for main-lifts: 1. Squat rack / power rack / half rack (depends on roof height), very practical to get a stand considering you can use bands and various attachments which saves space. 2. Weights (i dont really care about bumpers, might get a set of technical weights to do power cleans etc with lower weight) 3. Barbells (main bar, curl bar and maybe a triceps bar) 4. Leg curl, ham curl attachment for bench. And if i ever win the lottery some sort of cable rig.

Thoughts on IronMaster Adjustable Dumbbells? Best adjustable dumbbells on the market but its about £700 for one pair that go up to 54.4kg. They look really good though, might be cheaper than buying a rack and a whole bunch of regular dumbbells, not sure how close it would be on price but I'm guessing the rack and a set of 5kg, 10kg, 12kg, etc all the way up to 54kg would set you back more than £700.

If you're a teenager then I highly recommend you invest in home gym equipment if you have space. Just save up from your part time job and pay monthly or weekly for the products or buy 2nd hand.
