@GraveDigger580 Save all your scrap and off cuts, and practise on that before you tackle any new project. Don't give up on your cage to quickly , you can always cut any mistakes out and rework. Bad welds can be ground out and re welded. If you have any doubts speak to someone about it two heads are always better than one. Even if you don't like their ideas and thoughts they may say something that gives you an alternative solution to a problem. Good luck

is tig welding better or mig welding better for roll cages and chassis's?

Depends entirely on your welding skill, materials used (mild steel, chromo, Ti, etc...), time available (TIG is slower), and desired appearance. The filler metal for steel is close to the same (minor differences), strength is more or less equal between the weld processes. The big difference is TIG will usually have a smaller heat affected zone (HAZ) which is where most "weld failures" actually occur.

what were the sizes on the metal tubing

Throughout most of the video, Rodney and Colton were welding .065 and .090 wall tubing. When you're welding two material thicknesses, you want to focus more of your heat on the thicker material. Let us know if you have any other questions.
