Hi Scotty, without the type of setup that you have with all the tools. I wanted to know if you have any suggestions of what saw can I get to make this mini bar? I know you used 3 different types of saws but I don’t have that kind of money to invest so I wanted to know which saw can manage to do most of the cuts you made for the mini bar. Thanks!

Most of those tools are from Harbor Freight, they work but aren't really expensive compared to some name brands.

You should check out some of the mini bars made using old pallet wood less finishing work keep it a little rustic and you can use a hand saw and a jigsaw to do all the cuts .I made my own full bar using pallet wood i scorched the wood to get a nice finish then once made i simply varnished the whole thing except for the top where i actually poured the whole top with clear resin over the wood for a smooth finish. Came out fantastic .I cheated somewhat as i used an old side board carcase as the frame and clad the whole thing with pallet wood .Honestly it looks great .On the wall above the bar i made a drinks rack and glass rack using a single old pallet .

Kreg pocket hole jig. They have a bunch of diffrent varieties to choose from. I have that one and love it. 1 thing I also recommend that will help out is buying the clamp that fits the pocket hole to help with screwing in the screws.

Efficacy and efficiency. Tools are required for progress, it is what brought us to this time. No one does carpentry with their hands alone, you need tools, some are hand tools some are power tools but most likely you will use both. It requires a great deal of time, training, effort and practice to only use the most basic hand tools and produce decent quality results, something a hobbyist likely lacks. Therefore, advanced tools are indeed a great thing when you want to spend some of your spare time doing something you enjoy. Some people does make things with basic tools only, and we call those objects masterpieces, they are usually extremely expensive and only a few can be produced at a time, so again advanced tools are amazing for the masses and for the occasional maker. There are some products that may be impossible to manufacture without advanced tools, for example helicopter blades couldn't be produced until the invention of numeric control machines (NC not CNC) not even the best wood workers could produce the same shape to the tolerance levels required for four blades, only a machine could produce such a repeatable result.

I do for woodwork at my school, the teachers gets shitty at me cause im not using the thousands of dollars in electronic equipment because I enjoy the hand crafted way and because the next generation of people won’t know what a hammer even is if traditional ways aren’t continued
