Great video, it's gonna help me a lot to build my pc(I had ordered the same case & mobo) also if anyone planning on using this case make sure that u get a 140mm PSU, that way u'll be able to use the full case length with ur GPU.

Yo Mickey thanks for your video dude, I'm building my first pc with the Jonsbo D31 and this is a massive help. I have one question about the power supply, considering I have the regular mesh version (non-screen) wouldn't it be better to set up the power supply fan in the opposite way so it blows the hot air directly out?

I transferred most of my previous build from a montech air mid tower to this case, but I've got the exact same fans and aio as you're using. I had to double check and triple check my fan directions as this is my first time using liquid cooling, and my pc is literally running 20c higher in this case. I've got a 5950x cpu and 6950 xt gpu, both would idle at 30-35, now they both idle at 50 and simply opening a web browser will jump my cpu temp to 70! I don't know if the gpu fans are push or pull, but I suspect my gpu is too large and none of the air from the bottom fans are actually making it up to the cpu? What kind of thermals are you experiencing? Should I set the rear fan as intake?
@MIKEYZVLOGZ
3 ай бұрын
your top aio fans should be exhaust ..bottom fans intake cuz gpu fans blow towards the heatsink so it will flow same direction as bottom intake... u can use a rear fan as intake it will help as it gets dire t cool air to the cpu and exhausts out the top from aio . let me.check my temps and getback to you
@robertfleckenstein3364
3 ай бұрын
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ thanks! I just set the rear fan to intake, that only helped by a couple degrees. So then I decided to play with the fan curve a little more, and I have to set ALL the fans to 80% at idle just to sit at 40 degrees. I haven't tested under load yet, but I can already tell having all the heat coming from the top is going to heat up the room pretty quickly. It boggles my mind that the exact same hardware can have such drastically different results in both performance and room comfort just because of a slightly smaller case, and I'm surprised the aio isn't performing any better than my hyper 212 used to
@MIKEYZVLOGZ

@@robertfleckenstein3364 yeah its abit hit and miss, also u haver to also remember confined space makes a huge difference, for eg, if you had a roomier case the temps would differ alot too due to the breathing room of parts hence the hit and miss, just play around with your settings and config and u will find your sweet spot , and ye it will exhaust alot of hopt air, but the hot ait has to go somewhere true??
@robertfleckenstein3364

@@MIKEYZVLOGZ funny thing is, before I found this case I was actually looking for a mini itx case that would fit my GPU. What a big mistake that would have been! I do really like this case, so as long as I can manage the temps I will tolerate the considerably louder fan noise. I'm already getting a lot of functionality and "bling" from the screen which motivates me to work out the kinks in my build.
@MIKEYZVLOGZ

@@robertfleckenstein3364 actually there are mitx cases that are amazing for airflow due ot the full mesh design, but u have to be into that.. for example the SSUPD meshroom is amazing, so is the lian li q58 its an amazing little mitx case but one of my favourites is the corsair 200d u can fit alot into that huge case its small but tall and it allows for so much hardware i personally did builds in all of these cases and was pleasantly surprised just how well they came out and tem,ps were good too, but its due to the mesh design all around allowing the case and hardware to breathe all around

Hi what would you rather choose between this case(mesh version with no screen) and the Asus np201? As in my country these two are almost at the same price.
@MIKEYZVLOGZ
6 ай бұрын
they are both the same style case comes down to personal preference, as they are basically the same design, depends which look u like better? u want tempered glass panel or mesh, then consider which is better suited to you, look at the entire case and look at detailing and what it can store, is it enough for you to upgrade later if u want? enough room for extra hdd or ssd? the jonsbo can fit a bigger card, 4090 easily whereas the asus will only fit up to 330mm which is big but some cards are slightly bigger, my personal choice i like the look of the asus better with tg panel

@MIKEYZVLOGZ I've been trying to decide whether to go with this jonsbo d31 since someone's selling it locally for $100 or the jonsbo d300 for $250 or the fractal terra or the fractal north but it's been so hard to decide. I have the ssupd meshroom s currently with a Tempered glass panel and I just ordered an nzxt 280 cooler for the lcd display, from amd ryzen 5 3600 to the ryzen 7 5700x. I only like this jonsbo case for that lcd display but the nzxt coolers have that lcd display. Fractals are making cool wood panels added on. If I get the jonsbo, I got to return and sacrifice certain things like maybe the cpu upgrade because I also got to upgrade from mini itx motherboard to regular. Not sure what to do and also it's hard to tell whether this case is bulky or not since mini itx barely takes up desk space

Question, why would you install PSU like this, that it takes hot air from the inside of the case? Isn't it better to let it pull cold air from the outside of the case? I just bought D41 and I wonder how should I install my PSU. I will have D41 mesh version without a screen
@MIKEYZVLOGZ
7 ай бұрын
ok so this case is designed to pull cool air from the bottom and pass through the case ..I did it like this due to having the screen... so I didn't want to trap hot air or prevent hot air from exhausting out of psu.. if u have a d41 mesh flip the psu so the fan is facing forward ..and that will give u better cooling for psu too

I had to turn my power supply with the fan towards the inside of the case because of the noise from the fan was annoying. All is good now. And the inside of the case doesn't get too hot. It's the processor on the motherboard and graphics card that gets hot. Not to mention that the fan on the back of a psu is the exhaust fan, so it sucks air from inside the case no matter which way you install it. @@jjocik
