In this video we analyze two retro drift cars. One is a German car from Portugal and the other one a Japanese car from Thailand so get ready for some unique goodness!
We will take a look at these two lightweight 1970’s cars far from their original specs, and score them in the Grumblo criteria of Performance, Looks & Sounds.
In the blue corner, a viral hit from the north of Portugal is Nelson Rocha’s Opel Kadett C. This car has been a staple in the Portuguese drifting scene since 2010 and often beats its competition despite a disadvantage in horsepower. The Kadett is powered by a 2-decades newer 4-cylinder C20XE engine. This engine model originates from the front-wheel drive Kadett and Astra GSi’s of the late 80’s to early 1990’s.
In the red corner, a completely different execution of the same classic 1970’s concept. This KE30 Corolla of Kang Pangumnerd from Thailand is a sight to be seen in the way it accelerates and snaps into drift. Powered by a legendary 2JZ-GTE VVTi version, the tiny car actually has 7 times the power compared to the most powerful stock engine of its lineup - @kcautomotivepassionkcwheel5213.
We have given our scores, let us know if you agree or disagree with them :).
