Dude. Best Basement DIY video on this project. Simple, easy, cheap and stable. thanks for confirming you ran a load because I haven’t seen a video showing or speaking to it.

Just built mine thanks to you. Had HD cut all the wood needed. Cut a length of 4x4 into 4 pieces. Cut 2x4 into 2x 53", 2x27", 2x23". Cut 3/4 plywood 30x60. Used the brackets you used. Brilliant

Why 53 inches if he said it needs to be 58inches ?

@@jfox11000the longer 2x4 pieces are between the 4x4 posts so their thickness was taken into account for the overall width of the platform

Made the same washer dryer pedestal you demonstrated. Thank you sooooo much for the video. I'm mechanically challenged so proves anybody can build one for sure, using the video of course.!

Oh Thank You! Our house we bought has some beautiful knotty pine cabinets above the washer and dryer and thus limits how high we can raise them. All the commercially available pedestals are like 1/2” or more too tall and so determined making one was best bet as can make it to the height I want/need it. This design appears soo easy with the brackets and I can paint them to give the brackets a western iron look to match the rest of the decor/style of the house

This is GREAT! I followed you plans, tweeked to the size I wanted and I love it. Great job and so informative. I got my wood at Home Depot and had them cut to the sizes I wanted so all I had to do was put it together.

Hola David, cómo estás? Quería saber si la madera de los laterales están encastradas con las patas, o si solo están con los soportes metálicos, ya que quiero tomar tu modelo que me gustó muchísimo. Desde ya muchas gracias

Keep it simple... if you want to dress it up in the front all you need to do is add 1" spacer to the front add some trim or even laminate. All the other videos you watch, with cost and tools, would be more then the 250 each 27" stands sold for each.

I made pedestals based off your design, but made individual ones vs one big one. Solid. Painted black. Costed me over $200 to do. Not close to the posters $40.

We just got Maytag front loaders..they don’t come with pedestals. I’m doing something similar.

I built this exact same thing! Those brackets made it super simple. I had the guy cut each piece at the store. Thanks for the build!

Been watching washer builds all week. You're the only one who braced the wood. Too many trim carpenters around

How does it work 6 months later? Why didn't you install a barrier around the perimeter? Do you think I can do this model but prolong the legs a bit more (18-20') - I would like to have the openings on eye level...

Still solid as a rock, I think if you raised it a little higher it shouldn't be any problem at all with a four by four legs, it's a great project to do, good luck!

Forgot to mention your Guard Dog! ...Very good video especially for mechanically challenged people like myself. Now, can you provide the exact measurement and type of wood used? How many treated 4x4 pieces, 2x4s, the thickness of plywood, fasteners? Much Thanks.

Nicely done. How has it held up? Still good and sturdy after a couple years or did you end up revising your design at some point?

All the screws fell out, the steel bracings disintegrated and the wood crumbled by the third wash.
