As impressive as the star ceiling is, I am more impressed by your wife’s patience. WOW! Another great example of how not to be afraid to try something you don’t know, I am sure many will now be inspired to give lighting effects a go, they can truly transform a normal room into a work of art.

Great video!! Thank you so much for sharing. I subbed to your channel, great info for home cinema enthusiasts. This video gives me confidence to build my own star ceiling. Those Chinly light units are a very good choice I think. It's perfect that you can connect a couple of them and synchronise them as a group. A question: When you have to do it all again, would you still use hot glue? I've read that silicone kit is the way to go. That way you don't risk damaging the fibre optic strands with the heat gun.
@BuildMontage
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching - and yes, that would be a great option over a heat gun/hot glue - we didnt damage many if any fibers, but it would have been better for that as I know some people have tried and damaged their fibers.. Congratulation for this extraordinary job! I have a question. How you succeed to put the fiber optics lights face to face with the roof panel. I'm asking because i saw in your video during the installation of roof panels some of fiber optics where in a long distance from the roof panel. I saw your wife to push them inside but this method was good enough to keep them inside?

Yes going on 1 1/2 years now and the star ceiling is holding up very well indeed. Works perfectly and hasn't skipped a beat!

Hi There. Very nice job! I am wondering if you are still satisfied with the equipment choices (lighting, acoustic tile, others). Did it pass the test of time? TY
