Excellent idea.. I was searching one option to trigger PTT for a Sailor amp connected with my Xiegu G90.. this idea will definitely help me to implement it..

Easy and very informative. I currently have a foot-switch and a hand switch for my 7300 and I also use VOX occasionally. Very good video BBI.

Great video !! Remember key amp first then radio. un key radio then amp. I built mine from old sewing machine pedal. taking out rheostat and using NO button switch. using RG 59A/U coax I have from AV stuff. Ben using since the 1980's . always works !! Got SB 200. collins 30L1 and AL- 572 amps now. Only the AL-572 has 12V key. just got it new 6 years ago.

Just use 7113K97 from mcmaster. They're #10 eye and #22 to #18 wire size. A big hole where you need it and a little one where you need it. If you need to fit slightly bigger wire order 7113K12 which is #10 eye and #16 or #14 wire. They have holes that go up to 3/8 studs, and I think that'd be a bit overkill even for that pedal.

There are people in this Hobby they get confused when I say foot pedal. they don't understand the mechanics or the design so therefore I put this video out just is a general thumbnail of idea, and I don't like to judge make fun of or speak down of anyone that's not my game I just recognized it's sometimes a little bit of visual explanation goes a long ways... :)
@oscarilmio7148

No man, I don't want to judge anyone, it's not my way. I'm just surprised that, as you call it "hobby", it includes people who don't know what a switch is ..... However, you do very well to explain the basics and I follow you precisely for the way you do, patient and determined but that does not judge or "tease" anyone. But knowing that a person who defines himself as a "hobbyist" does not know what a switch is (foot,finger,nose or ass switch...damn) and who calls bulb an LED ... well, at the beginning of your videos you shoot a shot, right? ...? ;) Mr. BBI, love from Italy.

Remember our overall goal is to help each other and grow The Hobby if we have to sit down and explain what a switch is or a bulb or LED.. it's all part of the same fun.. I can remember when I was a young buck trying to figure out what positive and negative was way back when.. somebody had to explain it to me as well
