It is under the famous sun of South Finistere that Camille, Clément and Pierre-Alain made the 7th stopover of the Tour: the program manufacturing and installation solar heating.
AROUND SUSTAINABLE HABITAT
The production of heat in a habitat is one of the biggest item of energy expenditure. 80% of the energy used is for heat. Yet the sun offers us every day a large amount of energy that can be reused easily.
At Jean-Daniel Blanchet, manufacturer of Tiny Houses in Brittany, we focused on solar heating, developed by Guy Isabel.
This slate wall facing south captures the air of the house. This air is heated along the walls of the system and re-enters the habitat at higher temperatures.
With a sensor of 2 square meters, it is possible to gain between 5 and 7 degrees on a living area of 15 square meters.
FREE LIVE KNOWLEDGE FOR ALL
The documentation of this superb low-tech is online on our website: lowtechlab.org in the Explorer section (lowtechlab.org/...)
This tutorial was done with Jean-Daniel Blanchet. It is a transcript of the work of Guy Isabel at the origin of the idea, the design of the solar air heater and the writing of the manual.
Remember, knowledge is alive!
So do not hesitate to share with everyone remarks or questions! Share them in the discussion area of the record:
