Thanks for the video. I’ve been trying to find videos on how to perfect the polygel application. I struggle with keeping the shape and building the apex.

Same here! I just started doing my own nails too but this is frustrating 🫣. Since your comment is already a year old how is it going for you? Did you get over the struggle of building the apex?

These are almost too thick. I think the 2nd layer was plenty and would cut back your filing time! 🎀

Agreed bur that's the best thing about poly gel. If I add more than I need, no biggie. I just finish file to make it perfect. My nails are super flat/semi wide, so I don't need to build too much of an apex.

Priscila, Do you think adding a clear thick builder gel would help consistency? Understanding it would have to be mixed on a a pallet…🧐

When you get a polygel that's of that consistency, put it in your freezer for like 8 minutes prior to using it. Also I think you meant to say that the polygel self levels... not elevates. Elevating would mean rising .

Just a suggestion, if you're going to do a tutorial, use a product you know how to work with and def like.

Maybe she was showing it because it’s a extremely popular brand. If anything it’s good to show someone not as acclaimed to the product to help new people who haven’t done poly gel before on there own nails.

I don’t think it’s an issue of her not knowing to you work with it, considering she knows how the polygel works because she said it several times. You tubers aren’t always supposed to show products they like, but rather show what others may like to show how the product is.

I actually really enjoyed your video because it was very honest and informative. I’m a beginner and I’ve only used Gershion polygel, I assumed they all work the same but I can definitely see the difference.Great video! 💕

I love modelones, Makartt, sxc, and gershion. I used to like saviland but they must have changed their formula because they are runny now. I’ve never had modelones do that, it may be how you’re storing the tubes.

I store my tubes inside my desk out of sunlight. They are just runny for some weird reason especially the color white.

@priscilasnailsxo6304 I've noticed that beetles, with their slip(I kno it's weird and oily) works the best for me. Modelones, with their slip is a runny but not this runny for me. Do u live in a very warm/very cold climate? I know temp messes with the consistency. Maybe you just got a bad batch? That is so weird.

I use this brand exclusively and it is far from runny 🤨 only thing I can think of is you live in a hot climate and it's affecting the product.

I don’t mind wasting or using this much product. Especially this brand I have Polygel that I dont use so I use it practice. I prefer a higher apex & I don’t like thin nails everyone has there own preference. I wouldn’t call it waste cause it my money :)

I agree with you. Her whole method is messy. Did you see how she used spatula in gel and then recapped spatula with gel on it? And that messy gel tube 😒 all I use is modelones and NONE of my tubes look like that! Yes the gel is soft but I think this is a case of operator error. Nail WAY too thick, crooked, and uneven at cuticle edge. If you gonna post a tutorial, your work should be good. Just sayin...🙄
