Haha, really enjoyed the video. Keep the builds coming! Also, if every now and then you can make some technical videos that'd be great 👍

Trowaa.. Superb content.. Try making a bamboo bicycle into a e bike.. I think that would be cheapest.. Try getting a manually assembled one's.. Like maidong so there would be more room for tweaking.. As compared to factory fitted..

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Gears could be interesting with your mid drive.

If you want a ridiculous idea that may not be possible you could do a lowrider hybrid gas/electric bike.

My must have for an electric bike is that when it folds you can pull it behind you like a travel suitcase. What is the best way to find bikes that can do that when all built up with the electric gear?

So... if you were to put it down to a number, what's the current power/weight ratio? Is the bike still foldable? How many pounds of zip ties did it take to build? Also, you plan on throwin' that TP (instructions) away? I could use 'em. I'm down to my last roll...

I have a little ebike 350w motor and 48v 20ah battery and you can go at least 25 miles before recharging. How can you know the range and the weight capacity ? But the problem is it only goes 15 mph. And a 14 inch wheel at that.

Hub motors suck, and front hub motors are worse than rear. I wouldn't do it.
@awzsdrcfgybhjimklp
2 жыл бұрын
The guy’s at the bike shop were right. Putting a hub motor on the front wheel is a very bad idea for many reasons. Mainly the fork is not built for much more than to balance and guide the bike. The rear wheel is meant to support almost all of the rider’s weight. That kind of torque will break your wheel fork. Secondly a lot of the power will be lost to slippage because 1/3 of the bike’ss weight is trying to pull 2/3 of the weight behind it.

Great build! A year later, how is the bike holding up? I'd like to do something similar, but not necessarily with the goal of being the cheapest (or the burnouts lol). Would you still recommend the parts you used? Is there a commercial available bike with similar specs out now? How is pedaling the bike without using the motor?
