This video covers the assembly of (4) upper cabinets for a Transit 148" HR.
What Comes in Your Kit:
•Pre-cut and labeled cabinet pieces included your base, side walls, shelves, and aluminum backs/supports (in # of how many cabinets you order)
•Hardware (bolts, screws, hinges, handles, etc)
Tools You Will Need:
•Liquid nails/wood adhesive
•Rubber Mallet
•Sandpaper
•Drill/Screwdriver
•Lock Tight (optional)
•Clamps (optional, but highly recommended!)
How to Assemble Your Upper Cabinets:
1. Screw in your catch to the front/door of your cabinet
2. Place your barrel bolts into each of your cabinet side walls
3. Screw down your hinges into each of your cabinet side walls
4. With your sandpaper, sand along your lock dowel slots to create better contact for your wood glue between your base and side walls
5. Place a bead of glue inside your lock dowel slots on your cabinet side walls
6. Run wood glue along the space between your lock dowel slots
7. Connect your sides to the base of your cabinet by sliding in your lock dowels
8. Bolt in your metal top and back arms to your side walls
9. Place your handle/knob in the pre-made hole of your cabinet front
10. Place your (4) screws in the pre-set holes on the back of your cabinet front (to connect with your hinges)
11. Complete steps 1-10 with your other cabinets
from here, you can choose to connect your cabinets in pairs, or all together through the designated barrel bolt holes.
And wait to attach your cabinet face and shelves until after you've installed your cabinets into your van -- it's easier to install without these at first and to adjust the cabinet face once installed.
