It’s a very scary time for fans to watch. Last weekend in PBR Teams a rider was hung up while big bull was still bucking strong. The rider was being slung around twice in the wrong direction looking like he tore his shoulder after the fighters got him free. Looks very painful too when the rider is jerked around by the force of the bull bucking and falls underneath the bull’s belly. I just cringe. One other way a guy gets hung is a spur caught up in flank rope and for whatever reason it doesn’t come off. In 2022 finals a guy was on the ground rolling like an out-of-control sled behind the bull who seemed afraid and the bull just took off running around dragging the rider along for the ride by his leg. He went dirt sledding all the way back and through the gate to the pens behind the bull. Luckily the bull didn’t turn around and stomp the rider! Any hang up is terrifying to watch. Even if the guy does everything correctly it seems like eternity that his body is flapping up/down, and back and forth against the bull’s shoulder. Most riders are short and there are a LOT of taller wider rank bulls who are great in the PBR!!!! I see so many bulls who seem to watch the rider and try to avoid stepping on them. On the other hand one little black bull had a guy hung up and the bull had a look of determination, the rider got free and ran to side rails he thought away from the bull except that black little bull saw a target on that rider’s butt!! Just as he came to the fence the rider jumped up as high on the rails as he could get and that bull was running at him so hard he couldn’t stop, and the bull rammed his entire front end into the spectator fence BENDING the steel inward leaving the bull’s shape into the rails/metal ad. The audience stood up thinking they needed to get away. Thankfully that bull did not get over the rails into the audience. A last note, I see these guys all wearing helmets with face cages!!👏👏👏👏👏👏 I really wish the player’s union and the PBR would make them mandatory!! You mentioned not getting your feet back away from the shoulders and up under the Bull. Had Swearengen not had a helmet on when he laid on the dirt motionless with a 2000 pound bull coming straight down on his helmet breaking it then sliding down off the helmet. I knew as an ER nurse that he would have been dead had he been wearing a cowboy hat…he got a new helmet after recovering but saved the broken helmet as a reminder. Animals are unpredictable. You never know what they will do. Thankfully Swearengen made a full recovery!❤ This was a great video! Be careful out there, stay healthy and claim your 8 seconds!❤

@@savannahhelmetag1440 it's not that it doesn't happen very often, it very very very rarely happens. I've only seen it happen once.
