I don’t mean to say you can’t wear these shoes for fun, but it’s a good idea to wear shoes with a wide, rounded toe box most of the time, even if it’s not flattering. Pointed toe shoes can give you bunions and foot pain if worn too regularly. Sorry to be preachy, I’m not trying to tell anyone what to do, just offering some advice :]

FOOT HEALTH: You forgot to mention that IF you get pointy shoes you should ALSO aim for a longer length so the toe box doesn't give you squished / bunion feet. AND you should get Pointed Heel Spacers or make a set that is filled with cotton and fill that Pointed VOID so your feet don't slip there too much (always enable a covered hole to refill / exchange the filler after washing). Older versions wrap around the foot and feels like a half sock and can be tied to have a Cute Bow or other shape to hang out. LASTLY, don't forget about some cotton, gel or refined leather slips that you can adhere to the BACK of the shoe to protect your Achilles Heel area AND on the BOTTOM of the FOOT, to prevent additional Sliding -- especially if you're a Go-Getter Salary Woman, go get stuff done SAFELY!

It seems (based on personal experience) that if your center of balance is too far forward or back (as in your weight rests mostly on your heels or toes) these types of thinner or curved heels can be difficult or impossible to properly balance, let alone walk in. I walk pretty high on my toes, so chunky heels that go straight down are the only kinds of shoes I can properly balance in (or that distribute my weight properly).

As a woman with short little corgi legs I needed that note on round toes. 🎉

I dont buy leather anything, which makes finding good shoes harder, although not impossible. Eventually you develop an eye for good non-leather things, so they feel comfortable and not plastic.

Rounded toes make women's feet look smaller and more dainty which is desirable. I don't know ANY woman who wants to make their feet look bigger, regardless of how small their feet are.

No way, am I the exception? I try pointy shoes every once in a while, but I’m super short 5’1 ft 1/2 inch or 156.2 cm. My legs are super short and so is my torso so I’ve always worn rounded toes high heels. Since my torso and legs are so short and even in length, pointy shoes make my legs look so much longer than my torso. 😅 makes me look so funny

My advice is find shoes that are offered in different widths. For so many years I had to wear uncomfortable heels I never knew man. I finally am able to buy wide width heels n actually are so much more comfortable!! More shoe companies need to start thinking about ppl’s varying foot width!

The first heel is actually very comfortable because of the platform…you want comfortable shoes? Then always buy heels with some sort of platform

my first time disagreeing with you here but rounded toes always look better imo it looks more natural and is universally flattering pointed toes always look odd and make the feet look too long

I always try to take the time to tell people about these tips especially when you're trying to find shoes for a wedding or a special event you don't want to take your shoes off or take a day off of work because your feet hurt so bad after wearing them. Take your time finding shoes and always walk heel to toe. If you can't walk heel to toe in the shoe find a new shoe. Always put your comfort over a high heel or squished toes.

Also, please note balance & pressure are different for everyone's body types. For me it's much more comfortable to wear higher heels. Any day on 5cm, my back will hurt.
