Actually with mortgage one pays twice the amount for the house by the time the 30yr term is complete.

The whole point of the lecture is that we don't have to BUY A HOUSE TO LIVE IN IT... WE CAN RENT IT. .!!! IN THE PARTS OF THE WORLD WHERE MORTGAGES AND INTEREST BASED LOANS ARE THE ONLY OPTION, THE MUSLIMS HAVE TO CONTROL THEIR DESIRE TO OWN A PROPERTY. THAT'S THE ONLY WAY TO PLEASE ALLAH SWT WHO BROUGHT YOU TO THAT VERY PLACE..!! ALLAH SWT HAS AN INTENTION BEHIND IT. HE SWT DECIDES WHERE WE LIVE, HOW WE ATTAIN OUR RIZQ ETC. AND ITS A TEST TOO. MUSLIMS NEED TO HAVE THE YAQEEN THAT THEY ARE GOING TO RETURN TO THEIR CREATOR VERY SOON. AND WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE, AND ANSWERABLE FOR WHAT THEY DID WITH THEIR HALAL INCOME .. DID THEY SPEND IT ON RIBA TO SATISFY THEIR DESIRE TO OWN A HOUSE, WHICH IS JUST ANOTHER PROVISION OF THIS TEMPORARY ABODE/DUNYA..!!

So what is the way to buy a house the halal way? This video and this preacher's syarah does not answer or provide any kinds of answers to the question - how do we Muslims purchase a house, without taking up interest-based loans? Even if we use equity financing, the investors will want a return on their investments, which could end up with the same outcome - us paying for more than we should, 30 years down the road. Please spare us the lecture of how if we follow Allah's guidance, we will attain success, here and in the akhirat. We all know that. That is not the question.

this explanation doesn’t make sense. 30 years ago the value proposition of $1 and after 30 years the value proposition of $1 is not the same. i could buy from you itself one loaf of bread for $1, but 30 years after you yourself will not sell a loaf of bread for $1. so your explanation doesn’t make any sense.
