Hello and thank you for this amazing video! I need to know if the T.H (ex.400) calculated in this example is the feed hardness or the service water(output of the softener). Cause if it is the desired hardness (which means it refers to the output water) then it should be inversely proportion to the resin grains needed and not proportion, right? I guess you meant the difference in ppm that need to be removed. 😅

Nearly all water softeners contain between 1 and 2 cubic feet of resign, max. Your chart is an impossible theoretical example. You'll never find a residential water softener with dimensions like you've listed. The largest residential tank size is 10"x54". Your chart will only work for theoretical situations.

As long as there is sufficient space, any FRP tank size can be utilized as a water softener. There are no size limitations when adequate space is available, and the provided chart can be applied accordingly.
