How to Calibrate any External Display with X-Rite i1Profiler! (BenQ PD3220U Calibration Demo)
This guide will work with Calibrite Devices and ColorChecker Profiler as well (ccProfile).
Before you calibrate your display make sure to check these videos out first, these are the settings that you need to turn off before you do this display calibration!

Now that those settings are turned off, make sure that you have the display turn on for at least 15 minutes before you start the calibration process. This will give your display time for the backlight to warm up and stabilize. This might not be as essential in with LED Backlight but to ensure the best calibration, this is recommended.
This how to video will walk you through a step by step guide on how to calibrate your external display using software calibration. Please note that if you have a hardware calibrated display, it is highly recommended that you use the display manufacture software to preform the calibration to get the best result because said software would access the LUT that is build into the display. This is something that software calibration that cannon do. This guide, however, will apply to most displays that many of us have which are ones that are not capable of hardware calibration.
The device used in this video is the X-Rite i1Display Pro Plus. This guide will work for any X-Rite Pro devices such as the i1Display Pro, i1Pro, i1Pro 2, i1Photo Pro 3 Plus, etc. This guide, however, will not work for i1Display Studio or i1Studio devices.
This guide will walk you through how to validate the calibration result as well explain how to intrepid the ∆e read out value.
UPDATE: the guide shown in this video will work for Calibrite Devices and ColorChecker Profiler (ccProfile) as well. There may be some GUI and branding changes, however, the software fundamental is still the same.
