For working professionals, monitor calibration is non-negotiable. It will ensure consistency in your color from edit to print and will limit any issues you are having with color and tonality.
Calibration works to adjust all shades of black as well as the full-color spectrum. You will need specialized hardware to complete this process. The calibration tool that I highly recommend is the Xrite i1 Profiler, which you can buy using this link. // bhpho.to/39Y1dA4
You will also need the i1 Profiling software, which you can download here. // www.xrite.com/...
There is also another tool by DataColor, the Spyder Calibration tool, however, because in the next section I will teach you to create custom camera profiles using an Xrite target, I recommend keeping your brands consistent.
In this video, I go over the best methods for calibrating your monitor.
