This batt is gorgeous. I just signed up for your channel. You've done a lot in 10 years! Wonderful. Glad I found you.

I admire your ability to "color outside of the lines" and your lack of inhibition. Something I'm striving to achieve.

I was wondering how to get the fibers from the licker on my Louet back onto the drum, this is great, thanks! Also, how awesome that you started out with the Be Good Tanyas and finished with the Wailin' Jennys - folksy perfection and fellow-Canadians to boot! :)

Ashley, this is a wonderful video! I love your voice and the clear instruction. You gave me some confidence and inspiration that I can do some beautiful things with my little hand-me-down drum carder! And like other comments, I LOVE the sandwich idea, this is new to me and I will definitely be using this with my wool and mohair that I have dyed!

hi, I have a carder like yours but older, I learned something from you today, I didn't know you could take the smaller roller with fiber on it and roll it onto the large one, I was always told this is the waste from the fiber and should be thrown out. Your colors came out amazing, great job!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! The Louet I use (from my local guild in Scotland) doesn't have the groove on the licker-in drum but, if I'm careful, I can still get the fibre from it to the large drum at the end. Love your videos! KagooKaty - Scotland

Actually, the pointed stick is the doffer, not the brush but you still get everything off - no matter what you call it! Lovely finished product.

Great video darlin!! The only thing I want to mention is, Cashmere doesn't go for "hundreds and hundreds of dollars an ounce"... lol, it sometimes feels that way though! You can get it for $20-40 an oz retail, or if you import direct, it is a lot less. ;)

This is just a beautiful art batt :) I really like your kind of carding. Just pack in everything ;) I learned somewhere you should just add thin layers at once, because the drum carder might get broken by this. But yours looks just fine :)

Love the "sandwich" technique (fibers piled into sandwich)!! Fun, fun, fun :) Did you make the beautiful felted cowl that you are wearing in this video? If so, you definately should make a video on how to make it. Love it!!

Sounds like Trio: Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, & Linda Rondstat for one of the songs....sounds like mixed playlist...some Wailing Jennies in there too.
