Nice job. Thought about doing this to some palms around my pool that were killed by a hard freeze here in Texas. After doing my research I learned that palm tree trunks are more of a fibrous dense grass than wood. Turns out they are not good candidates for long lasting wood carvings. I'd be willing to bet this thing rotted away long ago. Nice while it lasted though.

... not to mention that wasn't really a tutorial on how to do, it's just a slideshow showing you working on it. Some explanation or something instead of annoying music would've be more useful.

I noticed you colored the ends of your gouge handles. Is that some kind of system to identify the different types of gouges?

You cut down a palm tree to do this?? I'm trying to figure a way to grow one in PA, even if I need to wrap it in bubble wrap to keep warm, and you just cut yours down to make a thing, like it's no big thing. Must be nice to just have them there to take for granted and get rid of like a weed 🤯
