Thanks, Timmy. I recently bought a cell phone and haven't used the camera yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I don't know if it's an android phone, never heard of that before.

You're welcome. I can't say for sure, but if it's a smartphone that is not an iPhone, it will almost definitely be an Android phone. Android is the operating system that all phone makers other than Apple use.

@@techtimewithtimmy You're right! Yesterday I recharged my phone and happened to look down at the screen when it was starting up after it was re-charged and I saw Android come up on the screen. Now I have to watch this video over again, because it is something I can do with my phone. Thanks, Timmy.

To cast to a Chromecast, your phone needs to be connected to the same wifi as your chromecast. So if you're not connected to any wifi, you can't cast to any chromecast. Assuming you have Wi-Fi, and your Chromecast is connected to the Wi-Fi, you just need to connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network. This is always slightly different depending on the brand of phone, but in the menu where you have the cast option, there should also be an option called "internet" or maybe "wifi". If you tap on that option, you should see a switch to turn wifi on, so turn that on. Then, a list of available wifi networks will appear, and you'll just need to tap on your wifi network, and enter the password to connect to it. Then, you should be connected to wifi, and the cast option should become available.

It's stupid that you have to be on the same network. You didn't have to with roku. If I have to be on the same network, I might as well just use my hotspot.
