I've caught a huge hawk that had a broken wing, and he was in my room more than a week a good living and healthy eating chicken meat, but I wanted him to provide a better life in nature and give him to a man who holds an abandoned owl, which recommended a local veterinary station to me, after just one day I find out that he died, now if I see this man and I think I'd strangle him, I am so angry, my poor poor hawk, stupid idiots from veterinary station, they killed my hawk :-(

I've worked with these birds for years- put on big gloves and grab the feet. Birds of prey generally have no instinct to bite in self-defense, I've only seen a great horned owl do it once, and it was a young one that was already familiar with people.

I would let it wait to hatch some eggs, so i can have a pet eagle since its a baby, but when it hatch, i will let the big eagle go, bc my family name is called for being the most popular native indian tribe back in the day, eagles would help them in battles, and all my family since then, loves and will aways love eagles, since then, we all practice to have eagles "abilities", so we have strong physics.

Why are you wearing shorts in snow
@balzonurchin
8 жыл бұрын
+MoneyboyHD Wolf He probably didn't anticipate kneeling in it. As you can see, 'twas a nice sunny day, and we British Columbians who live in the coast mountains westward, tend to be a tad vitamin D deficient thanks to approximately three hundred overcast days each year, so we must adapt by exposing our pasty flesh to the sun's rays whenever possible for our health and survival. Sunny, snowy days are particularly beneficial because the snow reflects sunlight back up to those hard to reach areas, such as up the legs of our shorts, and onto our reproductive bits. They too do well with a little vitamin D now and again.

I grew up on the rivers of Washington state. Steelhead / salmon fishing is part of my being. I'm now in upstate new york. Where the use of lead is prohibited. That's why they took it out of gasoline. It's a neuro - toxin. I wish that the rest of the USA would realize that. I know I averaged I quarter pound spool of lead left in the river per trip. Which was basically every day. Being a heavey metal it'll work it's way down and out of harms way I hope. It just goes to show you that even though they outlawed leaded gas in the 70's, it's taken this long for other aspects of its use to make a change. Such as most harmful things in life. Maybe it's not too late. 🐾🐬♥

Probably from the food the caretakers were feeding it.

Chaz Olave Probably as in not even possible. It got lead poisoning from eating something in the wild. It wasn't getting fed paint chips for 2 days.
@chazolave
9 жыл бұрын
WaterspoutsOfTheDeep Things like fish can contain lead if it was fed wild fish. Not saying its not possible but some paints still do contain lead. There is also more than one way to get lead poisoning.
@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep
9 жыл бұрын
Chaz Olave Oh I totally agree. That is why I am saying there is no way in two days lead from those sources would bring the bird to such toxic levels. That is where I am coming from, because there is no way the people taking care of it would be giving it something that is obviously extreamly toxic. Unless they are a little brain dead.
@chazolave
9 жыл бұрын
WaterspoutsOfTheDeep Mistakes happen. Some people feel the need to feed wild animals things they would eat in the wild. Not all that uncommon for a person to catch a fish and feed it to the eagle. Also, Lead poisoning can kill a bird within 2 day. Not the first time Im hearing of a eagle dying because of lead poisoning in captive care.
