Love how you stress the simplicity .. Some guys on here seem to think they're heading off on an expedition up the Amazon. Also, idiots who dress in combat gear just to go fishing . The sort of pratt who wishes he was in the SAS but would have failed the fitness test after about 5 minutes of running on the spot ! ...OK. Rant over ! ( feel better now. )

I'm a huge fan of active fishing (spin) with silk threats as hook, and a nice long turbise looking lure (18 - 24 g) and long throws, fast spin, it makes them crazy as hell, and you loose so few of them and its great for when you take kids fishing for needles (garfish) because no hooks can get in their fingers, and you can easily snap the neck and aswell use the threads many times :)

Great vid mate must try this looks great fun watched it loads of times now can't wait to have a go. One question tho, I can see it's pretty calm sea your fishing so can this method still be done when sea is a little bit rougher, will float just come back to quickly on its own with out slowly Realing in
@FishingtailsCoUk1

Barry Boyd Hi Barry THe method can be used in windier conditions. Just make sure you keep in contact with the float, otherwise the loose line can be buried by the surf. Good luck and have fun

yes - we had 6 to 7+ easily in the way he showed (using that tackle and method) on 1st Dec. I only managed to not keep lots as bait for other fishing....... I realised after release that a bit of Gar oiece would be a verry bait on a small bait when casting (if I'd done better at that) and to have a streamlined cast - Pulley or a Paternoster.
