People come from all over to dig these clams. Some have said they are better than Alaska clams. They only grow on northern part of the Pacific Ocean Have dug these for 50 years now.

These clams are awesome! We haven't tried Alaskan razor clams yet but will surely do one of these days. East inlet in Alaska has been closed this past couple of years. The west side is open but is only accessible by plane or boat.

The muddy top-layer kinda strange, could they swept-up by the tide ? Is it mixture of floating algae and the muddy sand.? (That's when over-flow the boots.)

The previous oysters seem hard to crack..this kind of clams (razor) is lot of fun and easier expectable/joyful

It is strange and people seem to stay away from it. However, we discovered that this is exactly what these clams eat. Makes sense to check it out if you see them on the beach.

It is! It is pretty challenging at first since they are all buried in sand but once you find the holes, they are pretty fun to harvest. The kids like them too!
