I LOVE the Harbour, but nowadays for the most part it is sooooooooooooo crowded that I don't enjoy it so much.

Thanks that was really entertaining and inspiring. I should get out on the boat more often and videos like this really make me want to. I'm still learning as a new boat fisherman (not a new land based one though). Do you have any tips for getting yakka in the harbour off the boat? I'm struggling to work out spots. Any tips would be appreciated.

I get yakkas around middle head, near cobblers beach near the rocks. or around the corner in Obelisk bay. Anchor up about 5 m from shore, burley up hard with mashed bread and pilchards using burley bucket. Once you seem them , use a hand line with a single hook with a tiny piece of squid on it, let it sink into the fish, Jag hook them.

@@davesboatingfishing thanks that's really helpful. I've only gone there once when exploring and not for bait. Now I know why there were so many boats there at the time. Can't wait to give it a go thanks.

Try off the point of breakwalls with a float set between 3-5m deep, fresh Tuna, Chicken or sinking metal lures has worked for me in the past
