Read my comment below on oil. Also the trailing arms that act as springs break (ties into 3 pts lifters) on these things. And none available. I made mine using stock metal, sleeve and other pieces then drilled holes. It was quite a project but they are still ticking! I can provide pics if you feel like you can do such a thing.

Thank you an easy and straight forward oil replacement guide. How often do you need to change oil?

Don't you have to pour oil in slowly to avoid it going into cylinders ? Have you changed the hydraulic oil? Curious if you have those steps.

Hey Chris! I have never heard about putting oil fast it will go into the cylinders. I don't think it's true statement. No need to change hydraulic oil at the moment.

@@PistonShack I have a service bulletin that states it. Maybe it was someone pouring super fast.

what type of oil for the engine and for the transmission?
@chriss1728

@@rexerev278 I used Tractor Supply Hydraulic oil, not the ISO one, Travelers, best to get on google and download the manual. It shows where plugs etc are. Took me 8.5 gals for back hyd and trans. All fairly easy minus holding a 5 gal bucket. 2 person job

Chris is right. Their is a design issue within the engine. You need to add oil slowly. CNH basically recommends you should take you 30 seconds to add 1 quart. If you fill in oil faster than it can drain through the oil jackets into the oil pan, it can pass through the breather valve, into the intake, and then into the cylinders so when you go to start the motor, it hydrolocks and can damage your pistons and connecting rods. Only fix if you suspect you filled the engine too fast is to remove the fuel lines and crank the engine til all the oil shoots out of the cylinder.
