The whole time I’m watching the video I’m thinking;”one wrong move and you could loose a screw or part forever down in the seats of the truck! 🤦🏻♂️ Awesome knife bro! 👍

@@doodysdaggers I have an old Benchmade 940 that is wore out and replacing with new washers.. and a ZT that the bearings are toast. Hardly opens, feels gritty when closing. Both were camping knifes and are pretty beat up!

I got the same filler tab. Rick is a damn genius! I mean just think about it. He has all these extra parts that are interchangeable and most of it is hard to get and people snatch them up instantly. Just got my 4th Hinderer on Friday it’s a Eklipse 3.0. I love the knife but I’m a little disappointed in the g10 it’s smooth in some spots and grippy in others. Civivi can do perfect g10 for $50 so I don’t know what happened here. Im gonna keep it because everything else is perfect but I expect more from them

Oh nice! Yeah I love that tab. You got one of those 3” Eklipses huh? I saw those drop, I wasn’t even aware they made those anymore. Looks like a cool knife. I wish they’d do a wharnie Halftrack drop soon. That’s one I want for sure

Yeah I ordered one from monkey edge about a week ago. It’s an awesome knife I’m just a little bummed about the g10. It’s not a big deal as far as function but for the price of the knife it should be better. I agree with you on the wharnie blade shape that would be awesome.

Skiff has PB washers in common bearing sizes so you could potentially do a direct bearing/washer swap on many knives without spacers… haven’t tried myself yet but have heard success stories
@doodysdaggers

Oh interesting! I wonder if that would improve the washer action

Dood, you are a brave man for doing that in your truck perpendicular to the knife, lol. I just feel like I'd do something dumb or catch the towel on something and pull everything off the armrest and into the cracks between the seats :D Well done man!

I much prefer PB washers to bearings. I want to deliberately close my blades not have them fall like a guillitoine. Plus bearings need service.

Is the skiff bearing better than the steel bearing that it come with? What about comparing to washers?
@doodysdaggers

Yes it’s better. The washers are fine, but you’ll get a smoother more free falling action with bearings

I bought some washers to replace the nylon ones on my Crkt Heron. They were too fat. Crkt doesn’t make that knife anymore. Do you have any hook ups for washers other than nylon for the Heron?
