I just got my replace port door in the mail today... Got it all installed thanks to you... The HARDEST part of the install to me was reinstalling the carpet at the end.

Thanks so much for this. My plug was clogged and the module was sitting in an inch of water. This tutorial saved me tons of time and money. You'd help so many people if you continued doing these videos for the usual gremlins. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for the positive feedback, that is exactly why I started doing these in the first place. The broken foot has slowed down work and production, but I am on the recovery side now, so hopefully back to them soon!

That’s awesome! I don’t know how I feel about the missing screws though…🤣. If you send a pic of them we can probably tell you where they go.

I like the way you make videos. Very detailed. One question, did you disconnect the high voltage before doing the repair? If so, how? TY!!!

You make it look easy 😅 always takes me 3 or 4x as long to do any work like this, if I am even able to complete it. But at least 3rd parties or tinkering types can fix and maintain their older out of warranty teslas

Kinda sad a sub made Tesla not work on it. But glad you could help.

Great video. I think I could do this fix thanks to this video. Another channel showed Tesla charged over 400 to fix their charge port. Can you list the 2 power tools you used, as they make this job a whole lot easier.

That’s awesome! I only used an impact driver from Milwaukee M12

Ah, this is exactly the process I am looking for. I’m not sure whether the charge door sensor isn’t working because the rubber boot that seals the port is missing. Some later versions appear to use a magnet for the sensor, so I’m wondering if this rubber boot happens to have a magnet embedded. If it is as simple as finding one of those and replacing it, it would eliminate this whole process. Either way, I”m probably taking the port out to inspect the drain.

I have been searching for a video like this for weeks. Thank you so much! One question - did you need to disconnect the battery before doing this?

Awesome, so glad you found the channel! I did not, but it never hurts to disconnect the 12v and firemans loop.

Does the software redeploy eliminate the need to use the toolbox software?

They won’t touch any aftermarket parts. That’s why they didn’t remove the subs

Yeah we understand that…but one bolt, and two wires? I think they can handle that, and need to implement new policies.

All ports are motorized? WiFi needed for software redeploy?
