We’ve had some starting problems with our Yamaha Raider. Sometimes when we hit the starter it will start, and sometimes our Raider just clicks. And the guessing game trying to figure out what’s going to happen each time we try to start it just isn’t working for us, so we need to get it ironed out.
In this video from Partzilla.com, we’re going to be focused on the battery. Just a quick multimeter voltage test shows us that the battery is a little low, and when we try to start the Raider it pulls it down to eight volts. So we zeroed in on the battery, where another test with the battery tester confirms that we’ve found our problem.
From there, the fix is simple: John will show you how to remove and replace the battery on the Yamaha Raider. When we’re done, we’ll fire it up again just to make sure we’ve solved the starting problems on this Raider.
