Wow, it was easy, I think I could do that myself if I'm not too scared to go under the car and handle the messy oil. At least now I know how it's done, thank you..

I should say, changing the oil is only one of the things done when you service a car. Most of the others are checks. You don't actually change any parts, but they are important for safety and catching problems before they become more expensive repairs. If you don't do all the servicing yourself and have a garage do it they'll include an oil change, but you might still do another yourself halfway between services to get that improved 6 month interval. This, and a few basics like checking tyre pressure, screenwash, light bulbs, etc is what they might call an "interim service".

I did wonder that, while looking at the car on the ground. I could reach under a bit, but decided I couldn't do it. Maybe someone more flexible. Possibly if you drive the front wheels up onto a kerb?

About 3.6 L on this one if I remember right. For an oil change. (You don't get every last bit out of the engine).

You set the torque (turning force) on the torque wrench by loosening the black lock bolt at the bottom, then turning the handle to the number you want. The scale goes up by 14NM per mark on the shaft and the individual numbers on the rotating part which is weird but you get the idea when you see one.
