Thank you so much for this! Coming from someone who’s just out of a 6.5 year relationship and her fella done all car stuff for her, I’m trying to become an independent woman and this definitely made that happen.. I feel amazing now 😍 something so simple but makes me so happy not having to rely on someone else, so thank you for helping me gain a bit of confidence back ☺️

+hamwic81 Actually I had a problem with a water leak with the boot getting wet. When I changed the bulb I made sure the seals were lying properly, and now the leak has stopped.
@hamwic81

I wish i took pictures of the seals on my tail lamp, it'd become so degraded that it almost hardened (particularly on the clips), i actually just bought a strip of draught excluder from B&Q which stuck perfectly onto the existing seal and filled in the gaps when placed back onto the car. Touch wood seems to be working after last nights rain :-)

+hamwic81 Thanks for sharing that tip with the community. No one can see the draught excluder and it does the job, what more can you want.

Hi Nick or anyone else reading this, I need your help, i was going to replace one of my bulbs and realised the housing was missing the screw which holds it together instead it was taped together, im wondering if you know what the mounting nut is called and where i can find a replacement, and how to screw it all together. As right now its very loose and being held together by a piece of tape. Thanks in advance.

Hi Nick, got a VW Polo Highline TDI from 2004 and your video was spot on only issue is I could not for the life of me pull out the bulb (the little dark one on the right) it felt stuck? I didn’t want to press to hard either for fear of crushing the bulb in my hand 😅 any tips with that?

I got a question. When hitting the brakes, which bulbs light up? Mine are the top edge ones, I've seen some calling them fog lights... single P21W. I thought the P21/5W are supposed to also light up, but mine don't... hence why I'm baffled why that is. Edit: nevermind, I have this document, titled Polo Model year 2000 and it shows the lights as mine are, the P21/5W is a tail light/rear fog light instead of lower tail / brake and the fog P21W is the brake light.
