To add more boost can built a double pulley: one side to the serpentine belt (too small), the other side (too big) to the supercharger pulley (custom pulley make by you), united by secondary belt (mini belt). Imitate the Procharger internal mechanism in resume.

Not sure if it’s practical (all the porting and mods take away from the junkyard theme IMO), but I’d like to see the results! The test I would really love to see- 4.8 turbo: big block tow rig replacement? Add AFM and variable cam to a gen 4 4.8 with a turbo sized for response/low speed torque, and maybe even spray washer fluid (available at every fill up, unlike methanol). Attempt to meet or exceed a stock gen 6 or 7 BBC dyno numbers, while measuring fuel flow and consumption at low load (simulating cruising with no trailer), moderate load (pulling a trailer at highway speed), and at full throttle (pulling a hill with a big trailer behind). Does the high tech and theoretically lower frictional losses of a baby V8 equal a more efficient tow motor, or does a traditional big block simply make more low speed torque (making it more drivable in the application) with minimal fuel consumption difference?
@richardholdener1727
2 жыл бұрын
THAT TEST COULD ONLY HAPPEN IN THE VEHICLE
@levidoughty4605
2 жыл бұрын
@@richardholdener1727 I clearly have zero first hand experience with dyno’s, but can’t you dial in steady state loads? You’d definitely need the vehicle in order to test drivability, but is it necessary for fuel consumption at various simulated loads? Thanks for all the education and entertainment!

Being one of the first guys to complete an eaton swap I can share this. My combo 347 sbf canfield heads tfs stage 2 cam. the blower an eaton m112 of a lightning. No intercooler so I use meth inj. Full interior fox with A.C. and power steering with an Art Carr AOD. 2800 stall 3.73 gear. Blower pulley combo 8'' lower 2.8 upper. Car made 10 to 11 #s at 5500' elevation. Ran 6.80 at 106 eight best pass 3360#s. IAT's were over 220 no meth and under 100 with chilled meth. Hopes this helps

Yes. But port it and run on the l67 3800. Then run factory na manifold and a turbo. Or two small turbos. I think Australia has a better plenum for turbo build on our ecotec 3.8L holdens. Its like a small highrise. We cut and shut the throttle body to right hand side. Also our cars are rear wheel drive so our intakes have a bend on our l67 m90 blowers.
