This was very informative. I would love to have a group of videos that show a list of vag com diagnostics other than dtc scans that are useful! Thank you!

(2.0t FSI BPY EA113) For some time I have sought confirmation on "where does the values in MB 091 and 093 come from?" To my understanding, so far; does the value in MB 093 - block 3 reflect the value the N205 is making to correct cam timing and shows how far the N205 is commanded for the adjusting of the cam phaser? Also, is the value in MB 091 - block 4 reflecting the final intake cam position as reported by the G40 - Intake cam position sensor? Is this all correct? Thank you

Great Video.. but how do you do a timing elongation reset after new chains on vcds
@speedlinegarage

You dont need to reset anything. Cam angle is read by sensors

Thank you for posting! How much would a timing chain replacement costs? Price range wise. I still have ways to go but will decide if I want to keep the car. 14’ Q5 2.0T, 36k miles at -2.61 degrees.

Just checked my 2014 B8.5 Allroad that has 76,300 miles by VCDS and got a reading camshaft adaptation intake bank 1: phase position -7.29. Do I have some time to budget to get timing chain replacement or should it be done asap. Thanks.

Anything over 6 I would consider “Get It Done Asap”. We just did timing job on 2013 Q5 that had -8.75 😱

No thats not possible. I think you’re wrong value. You need channel 93 or check your phase cam angle position
